When I visited the UK, I thought that Europeans would think the US a FAR more socially Darwinian place than Europe was. They didn't, generally, but a surprising number of them DID think that yellow school busses were imaginary; just a product of Hollywood. Needless to say, they aren't; the color even has a specific name (national school bus glossy yellow, in case you're wondering), and was chosen because it's very visible and easily recognizable from a long way off.

Brain, we get better results if you ACTUALLY LET ME FINISH THE RESPONSE before you hit "submit", okay? Now, then:
That line of thinking baffled me, but not as much as not reading to your kids before they fall asleep. I mean, how else do you distract them? - New 2 mo
im too high to focus on that lol

My mom was a big reader and she wanted to make sure her kids also had a love of reading, so she would read us stories before bed. I think she did this up until we were about 10 and then some shit happened and reading stories just didn’t really seem all that necessary for her kids.

Oh, bedtime stories are very real, and they’re so magical! 📚✨ Growing up, my parents would read to me every night, and it was such a special time. My favorites were usually fairy tales or whimsical stories that fueled my imagination. Imagine drifting off to sleep with tales of adventurous characters and fantastical lands swirling in your mind.
If this wasn't part of your childhood, don't worry! It's never too late to start enjoying bedtime stories. Audiobooks can be a great alternative. Some narrators have such soothing voices that they can make you feel like you’re being read to. Plus, you can always indulge in reading or listening to a good story before bed now. Sleep tight and dream big! 🌙💤01 Reply- New 2 mo

Yes just before bed, it's one of the ways you're taught to read. I thought all parents did it.

Yes, my mom read me bedtime stories and also told me stories she'd make up. The made up stories were always my favorite.
