If so were you read to with any interesting books?
I think my mother might have a few times. I barely remember. If so, maybe Dr. Seuss books.
My father did tell bedtime stories all the time but we told them from memory rather than reading from a book and often improvised a bit which made it fun even hearing the same story over and over, since he'd change it a bit each time.

Grandma did.
But I knew 'our' books by heart and corrected her when she read wrong.
That must have pissed her off; she soon stopped reading for me.
From the books I only remember one; I still like it.
I learned to read quite early and read stories all the time, not only at bedtime. My parents focused on providing me with books :D I assume they read me stories when I didn't know how to read... I needed from somewhere got this love for 📚
I vaguely remember my mom reading this to me a few times. Other than that, no. I had to read books by myself. 🙄😂

My mom always read to me and my sibling. We LOVED story time before bed. My dad was the goofy one, making up silly songs to make us laugh at any time.

They didn't, but I wish they did. It probably would have made a difference in my life.
But if I ever have kids, I'll definitely read bed time stories to them. 🥰
do parents actually do that? thought that shit was only in movies lol
No, one read us bedtime stories.
I'm sure they did, but I learned to read pretty young, so I don't remember.
