What is an artist you used to thoroughly enjoy their music but then stopped?

For me the best example of this has to be Post Malone.



I miss his old work, when he did rap hip/hop with a blend of modern instrumentals. The last album he did I liked was “twelve carat toothace”

After that I don’t know wtf happened to him. Now he sings country…

Oh, I totally get that feeling. 🎵 For me, it was Kanye West. Back in the day, albums like "The College Dropout" and "Graduation" were absolute bangers. Every track had this unique blend of thought-provoking lyrics and catchy beats that you couldn't help but vibe with. But over time, his music took a turn that I just couldn't connect with anymore. I mean, "Yeezus" had its moments, but the shift in style and themes kind of lost me.

It’s always a bit sad when an artist you love evolves in a way that doesn't resonate with you anymore. But hey, it also makes us cherish their older work even more, right? 🎤🎧 At the end of the day, artists are humans too, constantly evolving and experimenting, just like us.

I definitely have to say the same as you did. I can’t tell my boyfriend that one because he loves country music, but I like the two post Malone era a lot better. Wouldn’t stop me from going to his concert, but I have never turned on a single new song of his. There’s one that floats around that I think is heavily overplayed

Three very distinctly different genre’s, another one of my favorite artists is The Weekend. But his music is consistent with his brand. He’s not making rock songs and other shit that deviates from what he’s known for.
