He was truly one of the most influential music industry icons of the last 100 years. His work will endure for a long time. But at the age of 91 I guess it was his time. Sad though.
There are a few people that have become giants in their fields. Quincy Jones was one of them.
Quincy Jones contributions to music were undeniably legendary, and his influence spanned decades, shaping the careers of iconic artists and crafting timeless hits 🎶. It’s incredible to see how his work with legends like Frank Sinatra and Michael Jackson remains influential and celebrated today.
"Quincy Jones is actually still alive." No, he is dead. He is as dead as dead gets. He is not alive. If you want to say that his contributions live on in the lives of others, it's quite sophomoric and pedestrian, but true. But he's not alive. @GirlsAskGuys, how can you call this "intelligence?"
Mr. Jones,91, was a musical icon responsible for generations of hits. RIP, Mr. Jones, you were ONE OF A KIND !!!

I think he did a wonderful job in music and think about it. We use some of these works today 91 is a beautiful age.
I think with legends and people like him have you passed on your work because someone has to pick up where you left off because a lot of the music that we have nowadays sound the same
Still waiting for Frank Ocean
At my age, many of the icons who were influential in the culture of my youth are dying. It is a sad realization.
@OlderAndWiser Yes, and many just look like they have been dead for a while.
@exitseven Yes, many of the old rockers in particular have not held up very well.
My mom and I just had this conversation a few days before his death. We were trying to actually list all of the legends that are still left of this musical genre/era, and we could only come up with 7 like Diana Ross, Patti Labelle...everyone else, gone, and then Quincy died. At least, their legacy and music will live on to hopefully inspire a new generation.
His impact and Legacy on the music industry will be with us for all eternity but he lived a good long full life
Did you know that he wrote the theme song for "Sanford and Son?"
Fair enough. It was a sitcom in the 70s.
Sobering, but he had a good run and lived to 91. Time eventually takes us all.
Sad honestly
