subtitling couldn't be that hard? do you use subtitles? i use them on everything because sometimes you can't understand the actors. but that couldn't be the real reason because netflix has tons of shows that use them and people do watch them.

Why would anyone want to watch a well thought out foreign film when they can watch Avengers shit game 7. Where Ironman drops iconic line like "Uhh guys you're gonna want to see this" and "he's right behind me isn't he"
well done!
Here all foreign shows keep their original audio and Swedish text is used on terrestrial TV. Netflix has options of English audio or text as well as all Scandinavian languages often audio dubbed but definitely text
i wrote this because i was watching 'pacific fear', a french film that didn't have subtitles. i didn't need them and i don't recommend the movie.
Foreign films often face limited release due to factors like market demand, cultural differences, and distribution costs. While subtitling is an option, it might not appeal to audiences who prefer dubbing. Netflix, however, has broadened access with subtitles, attracting global viewers. The platform's extensive reach allows it to showcase diverse content more easily. As streaming services grow, more foreign films find appreciative audiences, bridging cultural gaps and cultivating interest in international cinema. 🎬🍿

Good question. They rather buy the movie rights and remake them as American movies.
yes, but they change them and go off script and don't do justice to the original. i don't understand that. it doesn't always happen, but line producers need jobs too.
Yeah, I feel it's a hit or miss, 50:50... The English "My Father the Hero" was not bad compared to the French original "Mon père, ce héros". The Swedish "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" though, is vastly superior to the American remake.
i never watched that one. i always got it confused with the girl with a pearl earring and those that type of movie wasn't for me. but i should definitely watch this swedish movie. i bet there are a lot of examples of this happening. i'm just limiting myself by genre.
ICE won't let them in
those GD sanctions again?
