It's the bad boy/girl thing?

As some of you know, part-time I am a theater actor and had some small roles in local television. The latest role I had was in a miniseries about a girl discovering her passion for art and protecting a Jewish boy during WWII. I play the part of an odious Gestapo officer who antagonizes her through the miniseries and is a creep to her.

I did my best to create a repulsive but at the same time "human" character, but I found it kinda surprising when my ex wife and another female acquaintance commented about how I was "fascinating" in the role.

I don't know that men are attracted to bad girls, but a small minority of women prefer men who are cocky and arrogant, and that trait seems to be present in many villains.

Guys, for dating, do you want a girl who lacks self-confidence, is quietly confident, or a girl who is arrogant and cocky?

Sometimes they are portrayed like that in movies but most of the time in real life they are not.
