Why do so many celebrities give their kids such weird names?

They have lots of money so they think its cute, The exception was James Taylor. He had twin boys a few years ago. I told him that he should name them Fire and Rain but he gave them conventional names instewd.

I was wondering the same thing. I mean Frank Zappa and Elon Musk are weird people, so naming their kids Moon Unit and X aren't that strange considering who they are. Then we get other people who aren't considered weird who name their kids like Apple and Blue Ivy.

A lot of it is branding and ego, honestly 😅
Celebs live in a world where standing out is everything, so a unique baby name feels like an extension of their “art” and image. Some do it for meaning (spiritual, cultural, inside reference), others for publicity or to feel original.

Plus, when you grow up surrounded by Apple, North, and X Æ A-12, it probably stops feeling weird to them at all 😂

I always wondered that too, like what is the point? I get wanting your kid to be unique but those absurd names will look so incredibly ridiculous on them when they're 60 or 70.
