Growing up my parents had a reel to reel I forget all that they had but I know Bob Dylan they had I think it was Janet Sinatra These Boots Are Made For Walking Elvis Tom Jones a lot of country yeah Bob Dylan was my favorite I would listen to that and I just grew up listening to music everywhere on the radio it's almost like everybody's house you went to they had some kind of music playing and then of course growing up I don't know why but I think the first album that I bought was Three Dog Night LOL but by the time I was 20 I probably had 50 to 60 albums
And from 17 to who knows how long 27-28 I used to go into the clubs all the time
Used to go to concerts all the time day on the Green in California
the ones up here in Reno Lake Tahoe and my step dad worked at UNR and they would have concerts up there all the time and he would sneak us in
I don't care what I'm doing I listen to music I love music and of course the radio I listen to Kozz classic rock Alice Cooper is a disc jockey on there it's kind of funny I've seen him up at Lake Tahoe Welcome To My Nightmare where he acted it all out had props I mean it was very it was like he was doing a play I mean it was badass but I've probably seen a lot of bands in the '80s and '90s that's for sure fun times10 Reply

Hearing the music my parents were playing (heavy rock, progressive rock, jazz fusion – they had great taste), buying records and CDs, and seeing live bands whenever possible. I grew up with music. By the age of 8 I already had a substantial record and CD collection, and I still have those releases to this very day. I went to my first big rock concert in 1996 when I was 7 years old. At the age of 8, I began to play the piano and started studying music theory.
I could go on, but I would be here forever.

I was a kid in the 80s - my mom loved current music, so it was always on the radio in the car. I agree! A lot of great music came from the 80s.

For me it was a mix of places 🎶
My parents’ CDs in the car, lots of 80s and 90s pop and rock.
MTV and VH1 were huge too, I’d sit and draw while music videos played nonstop.
And later, anime openings and endings completely shaped my taste.
Games like Need for Speed also slipped in some bangers 💿🎧00 Reply

Vice city definitely has a good soundtrack 😊 Me. personally got into music mainly because I had older brothers’ that introduced me to music at a young age, my brothers’ and I would hang out and listen to records all the time and it got me wanting to buy records as well. Eventually I got into my own kind of music that I really enjoyed , even though I did like a lot of bands that my brothers’ introduced me to I ended up liking a band on my own that my brothers’ didn’t really care for , but I slowly introduced it to them. My favorite band of all time still to this day is Rush , I became a die hard Rush fan since I was 11 years old and never stopped listening to their music , I saw them in concert 37 times and this summer will be 38 time but the first time I am seeing them with their new drummer since Neil Peart passed away. When Neil passed I thought Rush was done with because they stopped performing for quite sometime after that , but decided to tour again in honor of Neil , so I am so excited that I am going to see them again even though the price of tickets was outrageous , Rush is worth it to me 😊

m 1 momy parents...
not only mother would keep the ratio on for hours during the day, but also, she and my father still have a great collection of music, record players... (vinyl) and both in Spanish and English, and few other languages as well, so... that's really where most of my inclination towards lots of music and instruments came to be
later in life, I would just seek it on my own, anywhere, everywhere and from everyone as well
and by the way, yes... GTA as well, but I did play Liberty City, which had a great selection as well and still remember every damned station it has, lmfao20 Reply 2.7K opinions shared on Entertainment & Arts topic. When I was a kid, there was no Internet or video games or Sirius XM. We heard music solely on broadcast radio or from listening to vinyl records.
