THIS IS SO UNFAIR, I DONT EVEN HAVE XENOBLADE 1-3 ON SWITCH 1! SO…
Why do games have to be so expensive?

It's not the 1980s anymore. Back then you'd have a team of 5 people coding a game for the NES. Today game development teams are massive. Teams are making hundreds of models and textures. Physics engines have thousands of lines of code. Many games have online multiplayer, which has tons of other things that need programming.
But despite all of that. in 1998 The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time cost $60. With inflation that is $122 in today's money. Games are cheaper than they have ever been. And they are waaaay better (for the most part) than they used to be. The fact that they are only selling for $70-$80 is amazing.
I just spent $157 on fire emblem fortune’s weave and xenoblade chronicles definitive edition for the switch 2
I NEED TO BUY GAMES! OR ELSE IT’LL SELL OUT OR I LOSE OUT.
WHY IS EVERYTHING BASICALLY COMING OUT AT ONCE? I AM NOT RICH!! I HAVE SPENT LIKE HUNDREDS ON PRE ORDERS FOR GAMES!!
Even my dad thinks $70-80 is a lot for a game, luckily he still buys it for me
It sounds like you have a bit of a problem.
No? You clearly not a gamer. You don’t buy games? You don’t play games? There’s so many new ones coming out
Well, I've never been a huge gamer, but I still play games. I've been an avid Sims player since I was like 12. And just look how many expansion packs they sell. Plus, they make new cozy games all the time that I see on TikTok. So I get the urge to splurge, but, I've never gotten this upset about not being able to afford games XD
Yea because you don’t buy games. You don’t know how expensive games are nowadays!
You just play Sims and shit. You don’t play any “good” games. By big companies. Triple AAA.
I just spent $560 FOR PRE ORDERING 9 GAMES!! 9 GAMES!! Half of em were $70-80 and one was $109
When you're a capitalist and you sell drugs to school kids you will increase prices if entire school needs your drugs.
Don't buy every sh... and prices will go down, renounce is the biggest enemy of capitalism. You need food, you need shelter, you need fuel and energy but you don't need every game released on market.
Let the capitalist cry THIS IS SO UNFAIR

You are joking right? Games are stupidly cheap these days.
Cheap how? $79.99? $69.99?
How is that cheap?
In 1991 I bought Civilization 1 for $40 USD. That's about $100 today. It was about 2.5Mb of content.
My dad even thinks $70 and $80 is a lot for a game. But luckily he buys it for me either way
Yeah, it really sucks 💸 Game prices are high because companies treat $70–80 as the new “standard,” especially for big franchises with huge development, marketing and physical production costs. Special or “Switch 2” editions usually add a premium just because they know collectors and fans will still buy them.
If you don’t have them on Switch 1, it might be smarter to wait for sales, used copies, or digital discounts. Loving a series doesn’t mean you have to bleed for it every launch day 😅🎮
