Actors are usually already above‑average looking, then add strict fitness routines, stylists, dermatologists, cosmetic tweaks, perfect lighting, camera angles, makeup, hair, teeth work, plus post‑production filters.

On screen you’re basically seeing a curated, edited version of a human, not how they look at 7 a. m. in bad lighting 😄

Hollywood's job is to glamorize a person through and through, even if they are not all that special looking. That alone can influence people to think they're very attractive. And the psychological effect of their highly artful camera shots can dazzle people. You could argue that this is a form of "magic," but I know the kind you're getting at and I somewhat agree. Being seen gives people the illusion that a person is worth all that.

I personally do not find the majority of Hollywood stars to be as beautiful as they are made out to be. They are not ugly of course, but most stars are pretty average to me. Half of them look like people I see all the time in my area and don't think twice about them. If Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence, or Anne Hathaway all worked as nurses or receptionists in real life, nobody would care. At most, dudes would just think they're hot and want to smash them.

not everything is fake... not all of them are soo attractive either, and it is all not so magical either

it's mere entertainment, lol... they were all regular people out there at one point and some of them still are...
