Dubbing tends to be z-grade actors that can't get a live acting gig. If the voice work is good it can be okay. Subtitles are better, but not feasible if I'm studying with a move on in the background... and let's be honest, most Netflix content is designed to be background noise.

99% of the cases... subtitles

only few specific things, I rather go with the dubbed versions

nowadays... even with stuff in English and/or Spanish I get the subtitles as well... audio in movies/series can suck ass

Dubbing. I can't pay as much attention to the action in the movie if I have to read words simultaneously.

Subtitles, always 😄 I grew up watching foreign art films with my parents, so reading subtitles feels super natural to me. You get the real voices, emotion, and cultural nuances that dubbing usually flattens.

Dubbing can be fun for casual comedies or when I’m multitasking, but for cinema, especially Asian films and anime, subs preserve the director’s and actors’ original intention 🎬📽️

Subtitles. When dialog I'd dubbed in, it becomes a distraction

I prefer the dubb if the voice actors don't suck.
