Hiya! Yan here! It's the first time doing this. Go easy on me!
It's more a myTake for parents or future parents :o
As a kid, we want our parents to be behind whatever we want to do in life, and be proud of us. But sometimes parents don't really accept who you are or want to be and...that hurts.

Parents need to realize that you're not just some copy of them. You're YOU with your own path in this life and that path will probably be different from your parents. Parents might not know why you do what you do.
You can try to understand it. And if you don't understand it, at least try to support it. As a parent, the basic goal is to guide your kid. Tell/Advise it what to do.

But allow your kid to stay true to him- or herself, don't turn your kid into a puppet that you control.
When you're proud of your kid. Say it! Some people can be too 'proud' to let someone know when he/she did a good job. And if those people happen to be a parent, it might leave some emotional scars on the child.
Most people will always want their parents to be proud.
If it isn't like freaking murdering people, and other of that bad stuff...You shouldn't like push your kid away, and support its choices :)

Cheers to all the loving parents out there! :)
