Too much overthinking on the topic. You don't need long drawn out studies for this, it's common sense.

Women end up single moms because either they married the wrong guy, or the father fell extremely ill/died, or they were gold diggers who either think birth control/condoms is foolproof or that the child support is enough to cover the kid.

Any other reason is a result of those 3. Compatible couples can go through the worst of hardships and still treat eachother amazingly.

1. So desperate to be a mother so they had as much sex as they had to with whoever until they got pregnant.
2. Ince they got pregnant the father bailed.
3. The father died when the mother was pregnant or some time after the mother gave birth.
4. Went to a sperm bank to get pregnant.

Abortion has the unfortunate double effect of allowing men to escape the responsibility of fatherhood, and abandon their partners, and eventually the father will decide to leave even though the mother did not get an abortion, making the mother a single mother

Bad choices when it came to picking men. I have a friend of mine who has three young children and she use to be married before being a single mother. I would say as well it runs in the family as her dad passed away when she was little so her mom raised her by herself.

Because some men don't want kids and the woman should have figured all that out before having unprotected sex with someone. That is the gist of it. She was too stupid to fall for some loser and got pregnant without doing her due diligence.

Why? You get more money. You ask for money with a man and they look at him and say "get a job" if he say "I got one" they look at him and say "well, get another one" and if you need money... child support, section 8 housing, and $400 in food stamps start to look better than having him around.

Single motherhood is only a disease of privileged western cultures where women are handed undeserved power. They become single mothers because they didn't secure commitment before having children. Hookup culture ensures this, making women loose whores and eleviating men of responsibility. Thanks feminism!

I still think it's better to be divorced and a single parent than in a toxic marriage. Staying together for the kids, in my mind, is a worse example. I'm glad my parents divorced instead of unhappily remained married.

I don't think I'd appreciate my parents staying together while they don't love each other just because they've kids. Trust me, it's really easy thing to say that liberals are ruining language and spreading single parenthood, but the reality is much harsher. I'd prefer if my parents had gotten divorce. That kind of consideration fucks me up.

because they rushed their decision, they picked the wrong guy, bad luck, they didn't wait until they were financially stable, that caused turmoil in the relationship, and a few other reasons. life happens.

when I was a school aged child divorce was virtually non existent. My cousin shot her husband (yes with a gun) because he used to beat her. that was about 40 years ago and they are still married. Once the government started financially incentivizing divorce it went through the roof. If you got a divorce in the 70's it meant you were moving back in with your parents cuz that was the only way you were going to keep being able to afford to eat, so folks were more incentivized to work it out

some become pregnant by accident some want someone to love and be loved some get pregnant to get child support there are many reasons for it and guys don't take responsibility for making a child either

No-fault divorce laws essentially weaponize hypergamy in that women are much more likely to go seek the "next best thing" while getting monetary and social benefits and retaining custody of children.
