The Definition Of Family

Family looks out for you.

Friends may look out for you... for a time.. and partner up, or give you an ounce of support.

But anyone who's family, will look out for you, until you’re okay. 'Til they KNOW that you’re okay.

And that nobody is going to hurt you. They want to see you smile and be happy. Never sad.

Anyone can prove themselves to be family.

And anyone who’s related by blood can prove themselves, not to be.

Betrayal.

Neglect.

Wolves who are part of a pack, LOOK OUT for each other.

When one moves in their own self-interest, doesn’t pull their weight, or doesn’t look out for the rest, will be cast from the pack.

Because they’re not being a true pack member.

Any one of them can be a part of the pack.

They prove their contributions, by taking risks for their pack, and ensuring they're okay.

For wolves and animals, it comes naturally. It’s instinct or sometimes just that trace found in a certain smell, or an exchange of scents.

For people, it’s felt. It's drawn out of us. Swells.

And being compelled by the heart. A mental, comprehensive understanding, that never stops understanding.

It’s a bond.

Anyone can uphold this bond. Anyone can run with the pack. Anyone can be family.

But not all who share blood are family.

They may not be black sheep, specifically.

But in actuality, wolves in sheep's clothing.

They don't run with, or for us.

Sometimes they sabotage us.

Our core and our gut know when we’ve been betrayed, and we have to stick with our tribe:

Those like-minded.

For our ultimate survival.

It's not about what you wear, spend, or bleed inside.

It's what you carry.

It's what you share.

There’s only one TRUE kind of family.

That cannot be bought.

Family of the mind and heart.

Apart from this, there is no other type that is true. The rest are counterfeit. Like counterfeit money.

They wear the 'look' and 'title,' but never promise any true, promising value.

Find your family.

Find your tribe.

Stay alive.

And always-

Always Thrive.

Do. Ride.

Or die.

There is no other way.

Family is nothing more than random strangers who have the same last name as me, nothing more, nothing less

Don't come at me with "she granted you life" life isn't a gift, it's a punishment and I never asked to be born, nor did I want to be and she doesn't care about anyone but herself

RIIIIGHT Though!

They has us out of their own self-interest and wants. If they wanted to have us, to have another person to shower their love on and be able to say they were a part of their success story- that's great... but at the end of the day, we grow into full-fledged adults with our own emotions, perceptions, values, and dreams/desires. We can't become what they want us or idealize us to become, and we cannot live and grow to serve them and that be our life's only mission or purpose.

I get we never get to choose, really; I suppose whether they were conscious of their decision or not, we were already existing as sperm. We would have eventually died, so I suppose being scientifically and mathematically chosen to exist as a more evolved bacteria life-form.. is nice that we get to decide and see this world around us with such detail- instead of just being a blind and deaf singular cell, who has a shorter life-span and accomplish very little while in either human body/ capsule.

It's better you and I got our own bodies to make our own decisions. We just have to say thanks to them, and find a rhythm in this advanced ecosystem, to ensure we can have a longer span of time enjoying everything around us.

It's a gift. A rare gift.

We must decide if our consciousness is a gift also.

Yeah, it's messed up when blood 'act out' because they think they can or they're excused from being turds.

Have to either put them IN-line, or show them *where they line up* in our lives.

hope you find your tribe also, or find enough friends/ allies to give you a boost until you can resume 100% solo.

I think this is absolutely right! Too much indifference or straight-up toxicity in blood families. Their blood types may mingle, but they don't! :o

I'm grateful for the family I came from, but we certainly don't see eye to eye. They do support our endeavors and help encourage our children to live up to their strengths and work on their weaknesses. That being said, we both have very close friends, who have also helped us shape our life and influenced us in positive ways. We are not at an age where we need to put up with negative opinions from anyone, so we don't.

Yeah, I'm sure no one ASKED (lol) what family means, but I have seen some who questioned if it was okay to disown or diss their family, and all these relationship difficulties. For me, writing this and putting it in plain and somewhat poetic texts, helps me make more sense of my life.

Yea fam could be blood or not blood, blood only shows they are related, loyalty and love is what shows who your family is, I'm fortunate that my blood family is my family and I hope you've found your family.
