Why is he so nonchalant over our breakup?

i broke up with my boyfriend a few days ago.

his reaction p*sses the hell out of me. it was something like. 'oh. okay.' the thing is, before that, I had asked him on a scale of 1 to 10 - how much did he want to break up?

he answered with 1, not at all.

and now he basically doesn't talk to me at all, and doesn't seem to miss me. I miss him alot. I do still want to be friends with him, and it's annoying that our friendship isn't worth that much to him. why is he like that?

because your friendship means nothing to him. I have friends that are girls. none of them are ex's. if it really bothers you that he won't be friends then maybe you made a mistake in breaking up. girls always want to keep the security they got from a relationship and think that it works vice-versa. you have only one thing to offer him that his friends and family can't give him. if you won't give that to him, then you shouldn't expect anything.

Some people are like that. MAYBE he wants to be with you still? And he wants you to miss him that way. I mean...aren't you? Also, some people can't handle the fact of being friends(its a difficult thing to do). Consider the fact that if he still cares for you and that he might not be able to handle seeing you with another ...even if that happens far into the future?

It sounds like you had a very immature relationship. You asked him on a scale of 1-10 how much he wanted to break up. That seems very childish. For one thing he probably expected it after a question like that. After such a childish relationship my reaction would be the same. I would probably actually be happy that it was over.
