Why does my older sister awlays lecture me on how I need to be more serious and organized?

I'm 21 and she's in her 30's married with a daughter. She's a goody goody and I'm. A little more more of a rebel. She tells me I need to cut my hair and shave cause I look like a pot head then she visited me on campus and and told me my rooms a mess and I need to act more professional. She also mentioned that I I need to stop drinking and start dating then pulled up a pic of a girl who goes to the same uni and wants me to ask her out. I'm not a screw up I have a good GPA and am on track to go to grad school and graduate. I just like to have fun and stay loose.

These are habits you're going to have to develop once you enter the corporate environment, preferably beforehand. Its understandable where she is coming from, as well as where you are coming from. Sure, you can do what makes you happy as long as you're on track. Just keep in mind she has a point and wants the best for you.

As for the girl thing, take it or leave it. Some guys wish they could have it set up that easily.

Trust me, I come from a clean cut family as well, but in college u can definitely have some fun while maintaining professionalism when needed.

Nothing wrong with being loose & carefree with ur peers, and being professional when speaking with professors, faculty at the uni & current/potential employers.

Ya my sister planned her whole life out when she was 10 and never went drinking underage and her room was spotless and was ready to settle at 18. She went to grad school with her man and they were together 12 years u til they decided to have kids.

she means well... lots of people who cruise through life unplanned never move up high in life instead they're still at their regular menial job, struggling to pay their bills.

You don't have to go out with that girl lol.. i guess she just doesn't want you to be a mr couch potato but have someone in your life to make it more meaningful.

Well I'm on grad school track and doing well but I just can't settle for 1 girl cause their are so many hot girls I stare at I can't be loyal. I like to drink and stay loose and am known as the chill guy of the group. I've been told I have a lazy attitude so many times.

I don't think you're lazy now you said you're good at sschool.
But i think your sister wants you to get ambitious and be set up for life because anyone can be smart but lose a lot of opportunities by not planning your goals in life. I work for a lot of rich clients and they plan meticulously and very organised and i see why they are 'ahead' of many others who are just doingok but not great.

Well I know what I want to do but I don't know where I'm going to grad school and i can't start my research yet for my senior project. My sister was awlays uo tight and planning her life form 10 years old and I'm just not like that. I've had people text me at 3 in the morning and want to go to sheetz and I said ya. I'm just really spontaneous.

As long as you can handle it/multi task and stay out of trouble, she can't keep trying to control what your life should be about.

she just worries about you. she's probably seen people make mistakes that affected their life down the road and just wants to keep you on the straight narrow path.

as long as you are being responsible, mindful of your studies and what not just take the advice with a grain of salt.

She's a woman and it seems like most girls prefer the clean cut look but don't realize the only reason men do that is cause they have to for a job not cuase they want to lol. Im in control of my life I just give off a vibe that IDC about anything. I've been told I'm lazy and I take it as a compliment.
