I saw my friends self harm scars, what do I do?

I saw my friends scars about two weeks ago and I don't know what to do. In case you're wondering what I'm talking about, I saw her self harm scars. Some seemed pretty recent so I think that she still cuts herself sometimes. I'm an EDNOS myself so I think that I would understand her IF we talked about it. So my question is what do I do? Do I tell her that I saw them and it's okay and she can talk to me or what do I do?

If someone who's been depressed or cut themselves can answe that would be great but if you don't and want to answer then go ahead!

The cutting is likely not the problem, just a symptom. I would say confront her about it, but if possible NOT in a way that would make her feel bad or guilty. Although I'm sure it hurts you, try to make it more about her than how it affects you. Let her know gently that you are worried and that you care about her and her wellbeing. If she wants to talk about it, listen. Don't try to solve any of her problems, just listen. Sometimes the best catharsis is being able to talk to someone without fear of judgement.

If you fear she might get worse, I know it's probably not your favorite thing to think about, but you should probably tell an adult or someone who can find her help. Depending on the situation, it may be too serious for just you to help her with.

I have cuts, dont talk to her about it. That's making a big deal of it and honestly we just want people to leave that side of us alone, its not your problem its ours.
