My mom didn't congratulate me with my birthday?

i had birthday and usually my mom one of the 1st who call me...
But that day she didn't... i thought, maybe she is busy and will call me in the everning... But she didn't...
Then i thought maybe she just forget and will write me the next day that she forgot... but she didn't... So, that means she didn't call me on purpose or just that day wasn't special for her at all, so she didn't bother call\write me...
this is also, the 1st time she didn't call.
I congratulated her on all her birthdays and gave her expensive gifts... but this time... she have her birthday in a month, i dont think i will bother to even call her too...

My parents stopped pretending like they cared about my birthday after I moved out. Even in high school when I was still living with them they completely forgot about my birthday once. So yes I know what it is like to not have a parent so much as even call on my birthday.

Either your bond is weakening with your mother, or she is upset about something, and instead of telling you, is sending you a hint. Since you are at least 25 and she has continued to care about your birthday until now, I suspect she is being spiteful about something. Most likely she is expecting you to read her mind, and that type of attitude just tends to make things worse. Much like how now you are planning on just doing the same back to her.

Every until the day they die they will remember my birthday.
My birthday was just here a few weeks ago and because I didn't pick up my phone being busy and all, they still kept trying to call me to continue wishing me happy birthday even the next day.
I never forget them neither so I guess one hand does the other hand.
They stopped giving gifts now but I still give to them though, on every birthday and special occasion.

Find out of everything is okay at home. I find that if there are problems in the house, everyone goes into hiding. They rarely call me first anyways because of my schedule. But if there is something wrong, they won't call anyone anyways and I have to hear from my sister to Not to call up there, there is a problem. Call and see if this might be the case.

As for your mom, I don't think tit for tat is a good approach. Wish you mom a happy birthday when it comes but prior to that, have a conversation and ask her if everything is alright with her. Find out what may be going on and then just tell her you were hurt she didn't acknowledge your birthday.
