My Opinion: How I think it's inappropriate to kiss children and other family members you're not dating on the mouth, I think the same about a neck kiss. There's several private parts on a human body and it's the mouth, neck, chest, groin and butt. I'd rather do the ice bucket challenge than having the wrong person kissing or touching me on one of the five privates.
I don't think it's inappropriate to kiss your kids or sibling on the neck. My father, mother and grandmother have kissed me on my neck (even when i was a teenager) and I didn't thought it was anything sexual. i think it's ok. For me it's just mark of affection like a kiss on the forehead or cheeks.
Usually what they did was hugging me from behind, put their head in my neck and kissed me there, I never thought it was weird or anything to do so.
I think the human body have several private spots: The mouth, neck, chest, groin and the ass. So I wouldn't be comfortable with that. Neck kissing and mouth kissing in a family is a big NO to me.
It's up to other cultures to decide what they wants to do though. If they're fine, then it's fine I guess. Not everyone have the same views on nudity or burping after a meal either.
In many culture they do a pics on the lips they do it between friends and all. I'm quite surprised people said neck kissing were intimidate I never saw the neck as something that was intimate or anything.
Yes, like I heard in the Scandinavian country people would often go naked in the sauna with friends or people they don't know while in France this is extremely shocking, a parent kissing his child on the lips though would be consider normal, nobody would find it weird.
Kissing the lips through history meant different things especially how long said kiss takes if it's just for a second like a friendly peck it's all right now the neck is uslay only reserved for couples and couples during sex where there about to go lower with said kiss.
It's inappropriate. Kissing on the lips is still not that big of a deal depending on your culture or your family and a quick little kiss there could be just fine. But the neck isn't like that you just have to be more intimate to kiss there.
A kiss on the neck seems like a bigger taboo than a peck on the lips (which I perceive as pretty normal for a family). Kissing someone's neck on the other hand is always sexual in my opinion.

Its an example. If your devouring your kids with kisses its not sexual its just bonding Obviously You dont want to go anywhere underwear covers so you can help them set boundries but yeah I dont get it
My mom does and there is nothing sexual about it. You must remember there are different ways of kissing. Familial kissing (not passionate) , at least for me, is distinct.
I kiss my kids on the mouth. Sometimes I miss. With my 12 year old I end up kissing her ear. My 9 year old I kiss on his eye. If my kids are upset and need me to comfort them I would kiss them on the neck. I don’t do it in a creepy way. I’m their mom. I would never kiss my siblings period. My brother and sister and I aren’t touchy people. Even a hug would be awkward.
As long the incestuous relationship doesn't end up with biological children because of birth defects or are rape, then it doesn't have to be a problem. Consensual adults can kiss each others if they wants to. Even if it's unusual.
