My mother's never done that, but she has Bipolar disorder and dementia. She says some horrible things to me sometimes, like I don't really love her or that my Dad and I are plotting against her, but that's only when she's depressed. I forgive her, but it's still troubling to hear and I have emotional scars. Jesus wants me to forgive all. I've only been physically abused by my siblings.
my parents still do that, if they get really angry they often have like that need to kinda take it out physically a little, like by grabbing me or shoving me or something
Yeah, too badly My mom always do hit me over studying stuff, even though i graduated high school with a very high grades My dad rarley hit me, but when he does, it really hurts. I would've take it if not fkn locked me for over a year unallowed to go anywhere except school, unallowed to use any kind of social media and internet in general
Beliet it or not, my parents have never hit me or felt the need to hit me. If I'd mess up on something, they would talk to me about it but have never hit me, which is weird cause Indian parents hitting is very common.
I think past 18 it's no longer a right. However, you call your mother a bit#h that might be a grey area but even then you could be told to leave the house. Verbally it could've solved there too
My Mom is teddy bear, being rude to her would be like kicking a puppy. I never put her in a position where I need to get slapped in the face although in my culture she has that right. Respect for elders is a big thing, disrespect isn’t tolerated
Yea well elders should respect us back. But my mom never slapped me in the face. In the story above the poll, she hit me in the back of the head. She also used to pop me in the mouth
My father used to until I had him in a chokehold on my 18th birthday. A few weeks after that with no contact between him and me, he came to me, a drunk sobbing mess, to apologize for everything.
My mother is great at passive aggressive ignoring. I pretty much talk with her a few times a month, and we ignore each other the rest of the time. Helps that we live 60 miles apart.
Yea normally we’d ignore eachother but at least twice a year she tries to smack me in the back of the head or pop me in the mouth or thump my ear or hit my shoulder
Oh yeah absolutely. Im 24 and they still raise hands and say some hurtful shit. In public or in front of friends are the worst! I always want to crawl under a rock and die from embarrassment. Im Casper if it matters 😂
My dad was like that until I pushed back. I tend to defuse situations like that by walking away before it gets worse. Luckily my mom calms my dad down as well.
my father did that until the day of his death, would get a high on smacking me around when I pushed back he's cry elder abuse then I put a lighter to his green card and his NRI Card and say "Play with me, you will get burned"
My father only spanked/beat me like twice. My grandmother on the other hand. She was a 6' 5 Jamaican. And until she died. She would lay hands on all of her grandkids. Lol. And she didn't care what age we were. Lol.
A lot of parents consider saying “What” disrespectful but she was pestering me so i felt that was an appropriate time. However she felt embarassed so she hit me in front of the whole store. I just “what” her this morning behind closed doors and she didn't even think twice about it and walked away. she's such a showoff its annoying
Yes, there was a lot of physical contact and abuse. I had multiple wrestling matches and fist fights with my dad when I was a teen and even in my early twenties
Well they may do it LoL but it's been 2 years I am far from and whenever I visit they don't seem to be but maybe when I will be staying back with hem me be it will happen but mostly I try not trouble them LoL 😂

There's a point where ya gotta realize ya just can't fukk with someone anymore.
Thats true

I forgive her, but it's still troubling to hear and I have emotional scars. Jesus wants me to forgive all. I've only been physically abused by my siblings.
My mom also heard opposite of everything i said to her once. But she's only in her 40s
my parents still do that, if they get really angry they often have like that need to kinda take it out physically a little, like by grabbing me or shoving me or something
Yea thats rude and annoying
Yeah, too badly

So sorry you dealt with that
Beliet it or not, my parents have never hit me or felt the need to hit me.
If I'd mess up on something, they would talk to me about it but have never hit me, which is weird cause Indian parents hitting is very common.
Oh dang. Well at least they took a less physical approach
Mine took a no physical approach. Like I said, they've never hit me.
I think past 18 it's no longer a right. However, you call your mother a bit#h that might be a grey area but even then you could be told to leave the house. Verbally it could've solved there too
Its def not right after 18, but i see on this post it happened to many of us. And i dont use the B word. So i wouldn't callnmy mom that
I'm not saying you would but those that do, it can be a means of a radical response. But like I said, it still could but done verbally instead
No excuse for physical abuse at all
My Mom is teddy bear, being rude to her would be like kicking a puppy. I never put her in a position where I need to get slapped in the face although in my culture she has that right. Respect for elders is a big thing, disrespect isn’t tolerated

B, they will sometimes give opinion or insist on something but never get physical. We always discuss things like adult people 😄👍
Yea wish mine would
"Smack that hoe down and give her coal for Christmas" 😂😂😂😂 I'm dying.
...
Violence is never the answer girl, you did good.
Lol can't promise i’ll back down in the future
My father used to until I had him in a chokehold on my 18th birthday. A few weeks after that with no contact between him and me, he came to me, a drunk sobbing mess, to apologize for everything.
Yep my mom may end up in one if she tries this in my household
Damn right
My mother is great at passive aggressive ignoring. I pretty much talk with her a few times a month, and we ignore each other the rest of the time. Helps that we live 60 miles apart.

Yes i go theu the same. It sucks
Whenever my mom gives me a slap or so, I know I did something seriously wrong and she is extremely upset and also I deserve it
Yea i can't say the same. Mine is just petty
My dad was like that until I pushed back. I tend to defuse situations like that by walking away before it gets worse. Luckily my mom calms my dad down as well.
Yea well i tried to walk away, and as you can see in the story above the poll, shefollowed me and egged me on to hit her back
my father did that until the day of his death, would get a high on smacking me around when I pushed back he's cry elder abuse then I put a lighter to his green card and his NRI Card and say "Play with me, you will get burned"
😂😂😂😂👌
@DizzyDesii old school indian thinks he can act how people acted in the old country here.. dont work that way...
My father only spanked/beat me like twice. My grandmother on the other hand. She was a 6' 5 Jamaican. And until she died. She would lay hands on all of her grandkids. Lol. And she didn't care what age we were. Lol.

You know I, live in the states right? Lol. I was born in Jamaica. But I, was raised her in Va. Lol.
Yea i know. But im saying parents in my city specifically
Lol. Ah gotcha. Lol
Check the story above the poll
I did. Lol. Your mom's is a trip. Smh
They do it when I deserve it. Your mom sounds pretty immature by the way, maybe tell her to grow the f* up.
she's def immature
Yes but they were not nor have they ever been like that. I’d have to be actually disrespectful for them to put hands on me.
A lot of parents consider saying “What” disrespectful but she was pestering me so i felt that was an appropriate time. However she felt embarassed so she hit me in front of the whole store. Yes, there was a lot of physical contact and abuse. I had multiple wrestling matches and fist fights with my dad when I was a teen and even in my early twenties
Yea im trying to avoid getting into one with my mom but im close
It's best to avoid it but sometimes they happen anyway
Well they may do it LoL but it's been 2 years I am far from and whenever I visit they don't seem to be but maybe when I will be staying back with hem me be it will happen but mostly I try not trouble them LoL 😂
