Do you ever feel you are parenting your parents?

Sometimes I feel I have to parent my mother, and it was like that the periods I lived with her growing up.
She acts like a moody teenager and can be fickle and capricious, and I have to be careful in giving her something because it will quickly become an habit.
That said, I also like the way she shows entusiasm about things and that she wants to drag me into them - it's a welcome change from the distance we had some years ago.

I did. But it got crazier and crazier at home to the point of not feeling safe in your own home, and it's not that you pissed them off, it's just anger towards anyone nearby. There was only so much I could take.
