When I was a kid, I would use them for art, like I cut one into a circle and glued it on to a cut up circle from a used can bottom and than glue gunned a decorative ribbon around it and a hanging device and now I have a beautiful ornament for christians, it was 26 years ago that I made it, and I still have the ornament and for another image, I gridded it and than put the same grid lines on a drawing board and repainted it to create a beautiful art piece for my home, but I throw most of them out now. I don’t get enough cards for a scrap book these days cause we toned down our social life as we got older.
Most people just buy cards because it's the thing you do with gifts. If there isn't anything sentimental written in there then I will throw them away. Unless it's a beautiful cover with no wording then I have put them in frames with solid color outlines and used in bathrooms or other rooms as "art". No one has yet to figure out they are cards.
Never thought of that before.
Fuck I'm taking that idea.
I'm that one guy who REALLY want to buy a nice card for because in 20 years I'll look back on it.
I guess no one knows I collect them since few still do.
I guess my biggest personality trait of sentimentality is lost on everyone still.
I remember one time I gave this girl I dated a birthday gift: I used my art skills for a change and made a portrait of her using flowers (fake flowers so they wouldn't wilt). Took me a couple weeks since I had to use small flowers or pieces for some parts, such as Lillies and Tulips for the eyes and Sunflowers and Daisies for the hair.
Need to do something like that again.
*Sigh* Maybe when finally unsingle.
I don't like them. I see it as a waste of time, so i throw them away.
I would rather not get them. Cards with money in, just give me the money i will admit 100% it's the only thing i care about there.
Tbh i just prefer the whole you won't get one from me, so don't bother to get me one.
As for gifts i am more for the spontaneous kind not the socially expected on this date. It's just not to me a genuine gift if done because you have to on this day or else your not a good person.
I collect them.
I have every birthday/get well/Christmas card that I've ever gotten for about the past 12 years since I was 12.
It's like having a little time capsule.

First I'll check for any money, then it goes straight to the trash. I never get birthday cards, Christmas cards, etc. anyways since I'm not on speaking terms with my family or anybody else that would send me one instead of just paying me a visit or calling me up.
I keep them! My mom gets me cards for my birthday every year, and occasionally my friends send me cards for special occasions. So rather than chunk them, I put them up; most of them are boxed up in a little "keepsake box" or in stuffed around the house.
Not sure why I keep them, I just like knowing people think about me I guess.
I throw them out if they have nothing much handwritten inside.
If they do have something poignant and personal written (beyond the basic clichés) then I will keep them. I have a shoe box of letters and a few cards.
In the past I've made a college kinda like this one but a little different
I love these. I store them in files so they don't damage with year, date even occasion lol a little OCD about it.
I have every birthday card my best friends have given me since my 9th birthday. They’re in my closet. One day, I plan to hang them in my study
I throw them away or give them to my niece and she does some crafting with them.
I've never had those and I certainly won't have them anymore.
From special people and for special occasions, I store them in a box I have for memories :)
I usually keep them for a little while before tossing them. Unless they are really funny/special.
They tend to get thrown out eventually I keep a few that have sentimental meaning to me
If there’s no money then toss them, unless they are really memorable to you
I will usually hold on to them for a year or so, unless they're are from someone special.☯️
I run mine through the shredder.
Happy birthday!
*next day*
My parents have them in a small box somewhere
I have a wonderful little shredder.
Toss them after a few days sitting on the table.
Just bin them
I put them in a bag
I throw them away
i do 2
