Are religious/spiritual people manipulative? do they like to trick/coerce you into doing things to suit their bidding?

Religious people can most definitely. I grew up in the church and it was riddled with manipulation, toxicity, narcissism and honestly a lot of the people there had major problems that deserved therapy. Of course they would never go because God fixes everything. Spiritual people not so much, however once in a while you will come across one who thinks they are better than everyone else.

Alas, many are. A good example is found in the "70 virgins in heaven " doctrine commonly associated with Muslims. Another is the history of so called "Doomsday cults" like those associated with the Jonestown massacre of 1978, the Waco incident of 1993, and the Heaven's Gate" incident of 1997.

Yes often that is true, especially with pastors. This is part of why I don't believe in such fairy tales.
