No not weird.
just keep in mind I hear a lot of guys say that, and they seem to think their life will stay similar. That they have heaps of good mates and will be able to have heaps of company through their 30s and 40s like they did their 20s. A lot of men do change their mind and end up having kids. Even if you don’t change your mind, those mates of yours often will. They will get married and have a family. And they won’t be seeing you as often. It doesn’t mean you won’t be friends but it won’t be the same as it is now. I know a lot of guys 35-40 who go shit, maybe I need my own family.. I feel everyone has left me behind. And it’s not like at 40 you are going to be bothered hitting the bar scene as much as in your 20s. So unless you have a really satisfying career to throw yourself into. You have to think. What will my life be like in my 40s when everyone I know has moved on in my life and I see them once in a blue moon. And I don’t go out socialising as much as I used to. Will I be okay just going to work and seeing my friends once every 6 months type thing. Or will I crave my own family. If you don’t want kids that’s fine. Just keep in mind what your life will be like and be realistic about it.
Yup, nailed it.
Nope. I don't want kids either and I was always told I was defective and broken but recently I came across an article where a mom confessed that she regretted having a kid and that if she could go back she wouldn't have done it and instead of being eaten alive, thousands of moms confessed to feeling the exact same way and I cannot begin to describe the... euphoria I felt knowing that I am not alone (and am actually right) in my feelings toward parenthood. Apparently all these women are lying to society about how they feel about being moms and deep inside they're miserable and resentful and it sounds horrible but I'm elated to know that all my worries about being a mom are right. They did mostly all say that after 7 years they started to enjoy being a mom and I just think I'd die before the 7 years was up 😭😂
I feel like if i had kids i would be missing out on the fun like going to clubs and partying, i never had that so if i have kids i would be stuck with that responsability, my cousins have kids but they had fun when they were in their 20s, I didn't.
I witnessed my sister bringing up 2 children and how she dealt with the noise, the mess and all the paraphernalia that goes with ensuring their safety and upbringing I will never know. It was complete horror show for me to witness. I was still living at home when she had them and whenever she turned up with them I would make my excuses and leave the house. Then when they were a bit older they became like little wrecking machines, defacing my books, scratching my CDs, drawing on walls and furniture. When I met my wife, I made a point of telling her that children are not on my life's shopping list and no I won't change my mind ever. So from my point of view no, I would not recommend it.

Nah.
I didn't want a kid until I was around 36 years old. And I didn't have one until three years later.
If you don't want one because you're doing something else important to you, that's all for the best. You don't have the desire or the time to devote to childrearing.
Because if there's one thing kids do, they suck up every free minute of your adult life until they're much older and can fend for themselves. And by THAT time, they don't want to have anything to do with you ANYway!!! So, it all works out!
Then, if you've done your job well, they start to appreciate you and hug you and forgive you for all the imagined slights YOU did to THEM, and understand how flawed human relationships are and that 99% of parents have done the best that they could've at the time.
They'll also realize you only EVER want the best for THEM!!!
Take your time and be sure. You have many years left to decide.
No, it is not weird at all, however be prepared for the following.
1) Feeling and/or being left out of family and friend conversations while they discuss what their kids are doing.
2) Not being taken seriously as an adult.
3) People subtlety not respecting you as you continue to get older.
4) Having people question your sexuality and even question whether or not you might be a pedophile (yes this happens).
Since you are 29, these feelings and thoughts may change and you still have plenty of time to figure it out if you do happen to change your mind.
Nope, perfectly normal. Kids can be super gross and are high-maintenance. If you don’t want a kid, please do not have a kid because in the end you and the kid will face large negative consequences. I’m sorry that anything made you believe that it was abnormal to not have a kid.
No, it's not at all. There are more people like you and you're not forced to have them. Don't listen to people who say that it's strange or that you'll change your mind.
Some dudes day i gotta be Alpha and spread my seed everywhere
Say*
Thank you Madame
That’s not alpha, that’s just irresponsible. An alpha man is practice. Responsible and reliable. Nothing alpha about that.
Practical*
No, sometimes I feel like I don't want any kids either. After I see how badly kids act in America spoiled f****** brats. And yes I'm an American.
It's like a nightmare come true, they take away your freedom and your 💵💵💵
Exactly you'll never be able to save any money...
Nah not weird. Everyone now a days doesn't want kids.
Good cause we're overpopulated
Lol That's probably for us white people, I'm sure mexicans keep breeding like rabbits
True, they do the jobs we hate
No not at all I never wanted to bring a kid into this world but I have one that I know of but I believe there's a few more out there and I'm being serious it's not as common for a woman not to want kids as a man doesn't. But I find most women usually work regret that decision when they get older
If you want to focus on your carrier and you think it will prevent you from being truly happy and successful, there is nothing wrong with not wanting kids. I would never judge you because of that, some may, though, so be careful and try to ignore those people.
No, and I don't want kids either (I doubt I'll ever change my mind) my mom told me as long as I'm under her roof I have to help with my 3 youngest siblings also I bet when I get my own place she will expect me to babysit them (I've been helping babysit for 9 years, I just turned 18 Jan 9th of this year)
Lol you're sick of babysitting
@shydude1991 yes very much so and that's mostly all my mom sees me as, I don't have the energy to raise kids and I'm not ready for that also who on earth wants to bring more people into this corrupted world? If I really wanted children I could just adopt (adoption is an option)
This is normal for young people.
But long-term it's not smart. Apart of being human is reproduction. This is coming later for many now. Back in the day people had kids younger. Now plus 35 when they want to settle down.
The stronger more convicted organisms will continue on. The weaker gene pool will just give up.
it's smart for me, my mom expects me to keep helping her with my 3 youngest siblings for how long I'm under her roof and she might have me babysit them when I get my own place (I've been helping her since the age of 9, I'm 18)
*18 Lol!
@Qdbrown she might have me babysit them when I'm older I doubt I will change my mind but I might (also I'll be old 28 in 10 years and 33 in 15 years, I can see myself being busy with jobs at that time also this world is corrupted enough already no more human need to witness the tragic stuff on this planet in my opinion)
@Madison193 think about that for a moment. You want to spend the next 15 years working... For what?
If you're last of the mohicans, why not just go on a big journey and go out with a bang? Get in some massive life experiences.
Who just goes to work, and not have a family to come home to? That's for the family types who don't have options. Who have to maintain a household.
@Qdbrown I will have a house of my own also I find my purpose in God not in wasting money on vacations also if I end up with extra money that can go to an orphanage and a charity and where it is needed fun is on my list too, I have my hobbies (art and singing) also I'll have to be working to pay off rent and to buy a house and my own vehicle also "mohicans" I'm not a Native American tribe but I get what you meant by that but that was a poor delivery tbh also I can shove life experiences in there
@Qdbrown also when I move on I do plan on visiting my family (I don't plan on living too far away from them)
@Madison193 again, why own a house? That is at least 15 years of house payments? And that's if you start tomorrow. A house is for a family All you need is a little outpost to store your stuff and have a homebase to get to during the off season. And I am not talking about going on some vacations. I am talking about hitting the road, or skies, for months at a time?
There are so many opportunity for young people. The easiest is to learn Esperanto, and find families that will host you. I have heard of one language major that studied French. She heard about Esperanto, learnt it, easy to learn, went to France for a two week trip, came back a year later and didn't spend a dime extra. All these families across Europe hosted her, helped her get around, she helped them while she stayed, and met and picked up so many friends. There are so many adventures like that.
And thinking about Europe, there is always the Camino. The big spiritual walk from typically the border of France and Spain, to a Catholic church where one of the deciples is buried. A lot of people come back different after that journey that started as a Roman Pilgrimage. Check out, "The Way" for a movie that was made about it. If you're spiritual, it would be worth the endeavor.
Instead of putting stakes down, grow some wings. At least find a real reason to set down stakes. Man, wants to settle down before living... What's the world coming too?
@Qdbrown I don't want to settle down rn also I'm not going to be living in a real big house also "why own a house?" So I will have somewhere to live and somewhere to come back too after a vacation, I'm not denying traveling the world but not everyone is rich, my Mom is a C. N. A but gets payed like Middle Class (and that's bad considering that the Middle Class is shrinking) (also I'm a pessimistic, I've never been real optimistic about anything)
@Madison193 I gave you two adventures that can be done with a round trip ticket and some pocket money. You could be technically poor, as most young people are.
I think your duplicating what you know. Stay close, get a home, get a job and just be altruistic. Only rich people can really pull that off. Average people often become volunteers. Done a lot of that too. Do the work as they say, check out what I have sent you from YouTube. Plenty of inspiration to find your own affordable adventures.
If you buy house, you get the farm. Meaning you will be working it... It will also own you.
@Qdbrown farming I could do (would be good exercise too) and possibly get people more interested in actual real food, also I have 3 younger siblings to help with rn
Is it common? No. But it's not weird. A small part of the population end up not wanting them. And I can understand the perks to not having them.
Nope , also why would you want to bring a life into a world that's just falling apart?
Exactly, this world sucks, so much death and misery everywhere
I totally get you man , and like everyone I know wants to bring kids into this world and I'm like well there's not going to be a world for them , there's barely a world for us.
In my countryvat least there was times in the past when the world was worse off than this. It's not like we live in midevil times when soany would have the most inhumane death. We got modern medicine.
I could go on. We have a lot to be thankful for. But if you focus only on the negatives that's what you will experience. We got love, we got free will to choose. We have bad times we can usually learn something from.
I can understand people's reasons for not having them but I just wanted to answer your question of why people would.
Yes I agree there's a lot to be thankful, but in my personal opinion if I really wanted a family I would adopt someone who has lost their family instead of bringing life into this world, because to me it just makes more sense.
That's beautiful. More kids do need to be adopted.
I would want kids if they grew faster , like cats. It’s nice to have a big family but raising another human life is exhausting stressful a huge responsibility that too many people rush into.
No. I don't have any. And it isn't gonna happen now at my age.
But your balls still make spermies tho
Indeed they do. But how many women my age are gonna wanna have a baby? Zero. And I don't want them now. That ship has sailed.
And God said and i quote " Go into the World and Multiply" but i would also add if you have the means to train and provide for them. I think not wanting kids would just effect the balance of things cause everything was made for a reason, and on the other hand it depends on choice and reasonable reasons like Health issues, Inability to provide for them and so on. Aside these i think you need help
"I think you need help" Go didn't command for everyone to have kids and you know as well as I do that no more people need to be brought into this corrupted world
@Madison193 exactly, the world is overpopulated, we don't need anymore people
The Fact that you dont think before you talk or reply comments its either cause your so ignorant or your just impulsive for no reason. My dear if you dont understand what i said there you both are happy to leave me alone, cause you dont say this rubbish to out to people who rape women and get them pregnant or families without planning. For it says in the Bible and i quote since you dont know God or your Bible, " He that provides for the Birds of the air food and shelter and fend them from there enemies, let alone thou he has made in his image and likeness". He created this world and knows what to do about it when it becomes too populated. Well if both of you @Madison193 and @shydude1991 dont get what i said please you can go make yourselves impotent or leave me alone.
*God not Go
I think we have a different opinion at different stages of our life, so it is not weird. You may find you will change your mind later. Or, you may remain childless. It is always your choice.
Nope just mention it when you feel things are getting serious.. I dont want them a lot of guys werent interested in that but think of finding the right woman like apple picking gotta find one thats tasty and looks good on the outside
Then your not wasting the other persons time and they aren't wasting yours
It’s your life man… It’s so up to you what you want to do with it. Nobody should force you to procreate or even make you feel morally obligated to have kids.
Get a vasectomy, less worries for the future.
Not at all. However, if you were madly in love you might feel differently, and if she was desperate to have them you might relent. Once you got them, you might get the idea.
Or you may circumvent all of that and stick to your guns and never have kids. Either way, your life. Not weird.
Because your being honest with the fact your a genetic dead end.
Maybe it's nature's way of making sure i don't pass on my inferior genes.
It is actually becoming more common these days. I do not want any myself
Yes. As you're assuming you will find someone who will like you enough to give you them.
Else you think you can always go for second best, bury your shame, and use the spunk dump, aka sperm donor fertility clinic.
"Yes" no it's not weird
No it's your choice. Not everyone has kids. Personally i want at least one kid, I don't want a lot but I do wanna be a mom and I want 2-3 but if i have one kid Ill still be happy with that.
Normally I would say yes. But in today's culture we need fewer kids who are rebellious and hateful. So if you don't have any kids that is fine by me.
It is contrary to your biological imperative to not want to reproduce.
Given that you have self evidently malfunctioned, it is better that you do not pass on your DNA.
"malfunctioned" Lol! Not everyone is meant to have kids and I personally don't want kids, I've been helping with my 3 youngest siblings since the age of 9 (I'm 18) and as long as I'm under my mom's roof I have to help with them anyways I bet when I move out she might have me babysit them then
also no more children need to be brought into this corrupted world and if I changed my mind, I could have children or just adopt (adoption is an option)
Yea. Kids are a huge responsibility but also the next thing in life. If kids aren't the thing that will bring you in the next stage. What will?
Yeah, sorry, but I see women who don't want kids as lacking in femininity.
Also, many, many, women your age say they don't want kids until they get bitten with baby rabies on about age 35.
I don't know. Guess it depends on your definition of "weird."
Not really. Lots of people don't want kids. I don't. Better we figure that out BEFORE kids comes into the picture, rather than after.
Not at all weird. There are many men and women who feel the same way. It's a standard checkbox on dating profiles.
not sure if its weird or not but I do know that you sure as fuck are not alone because having kids is my worst nightmare at the moment and I dont think anything would change that for now
Not weird at all. I don't want kids either cause I don't think I'd be a good parent and there's no way I'm putting the entire weight of raising children on my partner.
Not at all, I don't want kids either.
They are not for everyone. They are a huge commitment and they cost boatloads of cash. It's a lot more involved than a pet goldfish,.
No , most liberals think it is destroying the environment , but I think it is selfishness and not wanting responsibility or them interfering with what you want to do.
Maybe, but it would be unwise to have any if you don't want any.
I don't think you're weird. I bet people don't want kids bc the overpopulation idea became huge. Thanks Thanos
It's not it's up to you completely you want or not but it's not good if you have pussy means you can get a baby and your thinking is wrong not what you want.
I only want to have kids if its going to be a black baby being raised by good white folks so I can tell these black parents its you who are the problem
Many people don’t with how the economy’s going.
Not a nice world to bring kids to right hehehe
its not weird you don't want kids but reason behind its matter for someone related to you
Nope! My niece didn't either, but she's got one, now!!!
Nope. Corporations have made parenting too expensive. And we’ve polluted the planet enough with our species.
No, it's not. You have freedom & choices. You can live your life any way you like
It’s weird that anyone actually does.
Nope I don’t want children. I have a niece and a nephew for that. Plus I grew up with 13 first cousin all younger then me.
Not at all. My wife and I decided not to have kids very shortly after we met. It's really not for everyone
Some people should not have kids.
If you don't want kids for what ever reason don't have them.
No, it's good for the overpopulation problem, I won't have kids either... People who have kids are selfish
No. I’ve never wanted kids & I still don’t.
Its your choice, not what society expects.
I would want kids if I could afford to have them. Maybe you just can't afford them.
Listen to all the snowflakes chiming in unison - 'no it's not weird.' That should tell you right there, it's weird.
No it's not, I personally don't since I've been helping with my 3 youngest siblings since the age of 9, and I have to as long as I'm under my mom's roof and when I move out she might have me babysit them then
also no more people need to be brought into the corrupted world (adoption is an option)
To each their own, my guess is, you had your first girlfriend in your teenage years
I don't think it's weird. I never wanted any.
Where i come from they believe a man should have kids, it's stupid I know
It's purely an individual choice.
No it's your choice. Personally I do not want kids
No. Why would it be?
Some people think it's something we all should do, reproduce i mean.
Strange ideology, the reality is that we're pretty much overpopulated by now
Me neither, i know for a fact it doesn't have a defined purpose
You don't want to take responsibility 🙂
No. I don’t want kids either
I don't want kids either
