At 25, is it likely that you’re gonna often make huge life decisions that your parents aren’t gonna agree with it but they know they can’t stop you?

Like what? I never made a huge life decision that wouldn't be disagreeable. At 25 my focus was basically on how was I going to get to college. So what are you saying if you don't mind me asking?

My sister is thinking About moving to Washington D. C with her boyfriend who has abused her physically in the past. Though he’s stopped and is working on himself and is going to Washington for a better job opportunity and is gonna make a decent amount of money, I don’t think it’s a smart decision and neither do our parents but they’re not stopping her like I said because she is 25 and it isn’t much we can do other than advice her not to go but she’s gonna do what she wants and what she feels she needs to do to “find herself”, that’s what she told us. I’m afraid for her.

No you can't stop her. She wants to do reckless things then that's on her. I have a cousin that have done the same thing twice, but now she's married to a kid's father, and they're trying to work it out. So I don't know. All you can do is just pray for her and make sure this is making the right decision parrot because if she's not certain of her decision then she's the one that's making those mistakes and she has to live with that. If she's going to find herself and she don't need a boyfriend. She needs to be by herself. She's not there to find herself. She's there to be caught up with her boyfriend because I guess it's more likely have slept with him, if not have sex before marriage losing her virginity to this person. At least that's a big guest. Otherwise she wouldn't be settling for somebody who abused her physically. But if she wants to do that, that's on her. The problem is that any other issues that rises after she gets there, she has no right to bring that drama over to your house. You know why? Not only is an unfair to you and your parents, but she was told and she was warned not to get involved with him again. You can only hope and pray he changed. God is going to have to be in the midst of that. But if not, I don't know.
