I'm option B: I can fix simple stuff and have assembled things like office chairs, bookshelves, etc. But I couldn't do anything HVAC, plumbing, etc.

I'm not exactly Joe Handyman, but I've done lots of things that come up when you own a house. Minor electrical, replace fixtures, install ceiling fans and lights in the ceiling, minor repairs on appliances like dishwasher and frig, build Ikea desks, ...
My wife and I even did some cool texturing on some of our (interior) walls when we painted.
I've built some stuff in the yard. And I have to deal with water issues that come up with our automatic drip irrigation.
My first job straight out of technical high school was working in landscaping. So Iām comfortable working with my hands and I have an inquisitive mind and appreciation for how things work. So I used to fix my game systems and computers and sometimes other devices for my friends and family
I own a large collection of power tools, hand tools, and have a massive assortment of hardware finds.
Used to have a double set of most car mechanic tools.
In getting old, the only things I don't have anymore are the flexibility of muscles and tendons, nor the desire to participate in such body taxing activities.
However, I'm still known to do minor repairs as needed, and on a "wild hair occasion", maybe a DIY project.
I watched This Old House a lot and also go to a you tube video of how to do something which makes doing something yourself easier. Plus I do a little bit of crafting on my own. Trouble is you can't find places to sell them without giving away half the value to fees, expensive shipping, and the disappearance of craft malls.
How hard was it? Did you follow the instructions? At most you would only need a crescent wrench. The kit should come with teflon tape to seal against leaks and the part that attaches to the tank only needs finger tightening. I hope you turned off the water first.
You should have a shut off valve on the wall by the toilet. How can you miss it? But if you live in Korea their bathrooms may be entirely different than in the US.

We 'bout to find out lol
My husband and I just bought our first house and there are a number of cosmetic changes we want to make. Neither of us are very handy but YouTube and I are gonna figure out how to paint, tear up carpet, lay floors, take off wall paneling and hang doors lol
I got pretty handy and learned to save money with some DIY things via YouTube and reading
I don't know how to do any of those tasks on my own so I would have to have someone else help me
I didn't know how to do squat until I tried. But I also used the help of You Tube videos a lot. I think they have a video/s to show you how to do anything.
I can do quite a bit but not everything
@exitseven I'm pretty good at plumbing and carpentry I don't mess about with electrics
@exitseven That's my thinking i'd probably wire myself up š
Why? A little electric shock can make you orgasm - if it doesn't kill you first.
I can put anything together very easily when it comes to installing furniture or putting something together
Yes, I hooked up my dishwasher all by myself. No help given at all by my boyfriend. He actually ended up pouring drain water all over me 🙃
So tell me again why you keep your boyfriend around now? Surely he can be of more help then that. And they say men are superior to women. ha ha
@Daniela1982 because a man doesn't have to know how to install a dishwasher for me to fall in love with him.
Tell me that again when you are eating on dirty dishes. Time for you to break out the whip!
@Daniela1982 maybe you're not capable of installing things but I'm perfectly capable š
That's not the point unless you are the dominant one in the relationship. You are in it together so he should help, just for the sake of taking one for the team if nothing else. I mean it did seem like you were complaining or maybe it was in jest.
@Daniela1982 read what you said again. "You're in it together" nobody wears the pants in a healthy relationship, you are equals. Installing a dishwasher is a one person job. But he did help by holding the pipe which is how he spilt drain water on me. Don't be so quick to assume or judge other peoples relationships š
I wasn't, I was just giving you a hard time. I do lots of house stuff when I can because I can charge myself less per hour.
I'm good at reading the instructions, passing tools, and getting my husband a cold drink. 😁
That emoji was supposed to have a funny grin.
Is this a true confection or a true confession?
@Daniela1982 Ha! TrueConfession is probably more fitting for me!
Depends on what it is, but generally I'm pretty good at that sort of thing.
I can make due with the instructions. I'm between a and b.
That's what Angi is for!!!
There is a long list of things she is good at!!!
I make/ repair lots of things around the house.
I can get by with the proper tools.
As long as they're instructions, then I'll be alright
I can build anything and can fix most anything
If it breaks, I can fix it.
