You can't become intimate with "a lot of friends." You need a good few, four or five, who you're pretty tight with.

You can have many "light" friends: strong acquaintances to bar crawl with, see every now and then. They're on a loose leash.

But only one isn't enough. Sure, you'll have a bestie, but you both need breathing room with others to give you fresh air. And different perspectives are valuable.

One decent, reliable, loyal friend trumps a lot of friends that may or may all be your real friends. Quality over quantity 👌

Besides, as an introvert, I tend to get drained if I'm around too many people. So a few close knit friends is all I need to be happy-
Now if only I could find a real friend to be myself around, that would be nice!

From experience. Quality over quantity! I have two best friends - twins - who I hang out with almost every day. Would describe the overall experience as a spiritual connection.

umm... according to me 'hang out with a lot of friend's but keep your priorities to only those who you think will help you when you need them
trust me, quality over quantity is a thing but try to socialize as more as possible

once I needed my friend's to help me with a matter but most of them whom I thought as friend's disappointed me
so ya now I have many friend's and I'm pretty welcoming to new people but since then
I observe people more and I come to know who'll be there for me or not and hence making them my priority

Well a lot of friends doesn't guarantee that you will have a good and a meaningful connection with them while with one friend it's way better and you know most of their drawbacks and advantages... You know that it is a meaningful connection and you have to gain something from them and they from you... when you have a lot of friends mosg of the time they are there for a short period of time while you have money and good life... When you lose all of that they leave! And all in all you can't have lots of friends those aren't friends but acquaintances... I am an introvert so i choose my friends wisely
