There's clean and there's super-clean. IMHO, you take it a bit too far with bleaching everything.
I doubt she got COVID because the house wasn't squeaky clean. That probably happened because she didn't religiously follow COVID protocols outside the house: mask, wash hands, social distancing.
My SO and I often have discussions about cleaning. I like a house that looks lived in, which means occasional cleaning, and sometimes things are out of place. She, on the other hand, wants everything always in its place, and cleans all the time.

For my 70th birthday this October past... my spouse allowed me purchase an '87 149 mph C4 Corvette to refurbish and customize, replacing my '96 3000GT that I'd PERSONALLY driven 244,000 miles for 12 years!

If someone has a very messy home, sometimes it's because they have a problem in their brain that makes them 1) not know where to start. 2) does not have organizational skills. 3) both of them. A friend of mine lives like a pig. He has ADHD (attention deficit hyper activity disorder. He cannot do the things I just mentioned. Please go easy on your friend as it might not be their fault

First off using that much bleach is harmful to your body and extremely toxic to your lungs and if you eat bleach which you are even if its in small bits, it can cause serious damage to your health. 2nd some people just like being messy, 3rd while i agree people should clean their homes, don't used bleach on everything. That's how you get sick to.
I clean kitchen countertops, stove and sink, and bathroom countertops with disinfecting wipes. I mop floors with soap and water. That's it. I never caught Covid or anything else.
I have no idea how much bleach you use cleaning. I suggest you do an internet search on the hazards of using bleach indoors. Yes, bleach fumes can cause health problems.Usually is due to laziness. I refuse to live like a pig so my house is almost always clean and orderly.
Sometimes lazinese but if they have disablites and can't clean its not there fault
That's not being a "Karen", that's being a "Martian", and is a big part of WHY so many people are having so much trouble with this virus- your immune system needs practice. Over-sanitizing everything means it doesn't get it, and so when you DO get sick, you're in trouble.
It's also why we've got so many kids with allergies so severe they can't be hospitalized because someone ten feet away from them ate a peanut butter sandwich.
