How can I become more independent from my parents?

I still live with my parents cause it's cheaper for me (I don't earn enough money to move) and college is near, but I've been wanting to do my own stuff cause everytime I want to go outside by myself my parents always ask: Where you going? with who? We need you here for today. Can you stay? We'll pick you up. etc etc.
What can I do

first of all, talk to them. tell them you are home with them out of convinience and that you are not a teenager anymore. you need a bit more space from a privacy point of view, and if you don't learn the basics of being independent now, then later you will suffer from it and that is not something any of you want. if they disagree or something then slowly set the new routine.
start going out "in a hurry" so you don't have to to tell them where you are going.
when they ask you where you are say as generally as you can "at work/school/ with friends". until when? answer "i don't know, why do you ask". what friends? "from school". omit as much information as you can. but don't be disrespectful. you are staying under their roof with their rules, if you don't like it then move out.

and if they want to drive you places just make something up like " i want to take my time on my way to think/listen to a podcast" or say that you have a few places to stop on the way. if they want to buy you stuff like pay for a cab or give you money when you are going out, just wave your wallet and say im good, thanks.
that what i did but my parents are really accepting and they still took time to adjust. good luck!

Make more money and move out

Nothing. This will be your life until you make enough to move out. Really. There is nothing you can do about it. That’s what it’s like living at home, or with anybody really. Same thing when living with a partner.
