Trending & News No. Number of children should have been discussed and agreed upon in the beginning of the relationship and even that is not guaranteed because twins, triplets, quadruplets, and quintuplets can happen naturally. Also, female birth control is not 100%, even with an IUD or Implant accidental pregnancies can happen.
Dude better start getting use to condoms, or get a vasectomy if he has a child limit. Why not force his wife to get a hysterectomy? Because it's her body; he does not own her. If she doesn't mind going through 9 months to have his children and accept every pregnancy as it naturally comes, then it's not her issues, it's his.
Ideally the decision would be mutual. If anything, he should be able to decide the max. Otherwise, I don't think it's his decision to make her carry a baby to term. If he really wants more kids and she doesn't want to carry more, they could talk about adopting.
Plus, until we are more OK with dad involvement in the home, she'd be the one taking a lot of the slack for the day-to-day work of raising them. So in that sense, his say should be proportional to his home involvement. And if she is still all about gender roles, she shouldn't be like "imma just forget the birth control and have more kids" if she still expects him to be the one paying for them.
Either way, if they disagree, it should always be whoever wants the fewest.
There should have been another option for mutual decision and family planning. Marriage is such a bad deal for men that the only reason for a man to get married is if he gets to have his own biological child (ren) and the best environment to raise such children is a two-parent household. So, any man who gets married should get at least one child of his own. However, saying that, I am completely against the husband using his economic leverage to dictate how many kids they should have because the woman pays a disproportionately large price for kids biologically.
This has to be a MUTUAL decision a couple makes. Neither one NOR the other.
Has to do with how much time and money the both of you have to spend with more than two or three children. Children, when young, require a lot of time and energy. By the time they finish grammar school, they're pretty much their own people, but still need adult counsel on impending adult subjects and a firm hand with direction.
When your kids are adolescents, they need you as a consultant. When very young, they need you as "friend/parent/caregiver."

No it should be 50/50 and something that is discussed before getting married , Me personally doesn’t want to have any more kids , I been there and done it , I love kids but just don’t want to start over , so I pretty much date girls that don’t want kids or already had kids , it’s harder to find relationships now cuz it kind of limits my selection of girls cuz most girls want to have a family and have babies one day so I am pretty much upfront and tell the girl that isn’t on my top priority list since I been there and done it already , the girl I am dating now doesn’t want kids so it works out
I think I would already have an agreed upon a Plan. In my house, yes BUT I’ll make damn sure it’s not hand-mouth day-in and day-out.- I like to rest well…. What I’ve learned from my Friend’s experiences is the wives push the kids.
Some think they can handle 3 financially. One friend is 3 months from number 6. I bought a 3+ 2 car garage at 25 with intent to fill it, however, I know 3 kids is equivalent to 5 million from age 1 month to 25(grad school). I’m good with that so, for me, it would become a trust issue.
What's funny about the majority of the answers to this thread is that women have thankfully given us GRANTED US the permission to say our opinion which in fact it doesn't matter to them and will wipe their asses with it, so stating oue opinion or not will be the same, why would i state my opinion if i'm not going to be heard or my opinion not being taken into consideration 🤣
The goddesses have ordered us to act like that, but guess what you goddesses, you can go F*CK yourselves and never try to be close to a real man like me cause at this point miss goddess you will truly know you're size and you're place in this world
For every feminazi disliker who's going to give me a downvote, here's a souvenir for you 🖕🏻
A birdy! It’s so cuuute 🐥
@TyLeeAndPink if i'm the birdy than are you the worm? 🤣🤣
Glad to uncover one more stupid feminist, BLOCKED! Who's next on my list?
FUCK no. It’s my body and it’s my choice not his. I decide if I even WANT to have a child with him. do y’all know how dangerous pregnancy be to both women and the baby? It requires A LOT of medical attention and you have to be on high alert for yourself and the baby 24/7 . There’s so many things that can occur during pregnancy and after. So fuck no. We can adopt if he’s that eager to have a child 🤷🏻♀️ But I’m not going to get impregnated if I’m not mentally and physically ready. He doesn’t get to decide when I want to or not.
No. Getting pregnant for 9 months, giving birth, internally messing up your body, breastfeeding & and raising a human for 2 decades is not something one person (especially the man) gets to decide by themselves. If you're blessing someone with children made from the both of you, make sure the both of are 1. Ready and 2. Actually want them.
If your husband gets upset that you aren't giving him babies at the exact rate he wants, that's a very red flag. These are lifelong decisions that will affect both of your lives. One person does not get to have that much power of the other.
Yes and no. He should not be able to get her pregnant against her will. That is to say that he should not force her to get pregnant (obviously), and shouldn't take off a condom without telling her.
But she should not be able try to get pregnant without his consent, and by that I mean if they have agreed to not get pregnant and she has agreed to take birth control to prevent it, she should not go off birth control without his knowledge.
Seems like common sense to me. Unfortunately, the laws are currently set up to protect women but not men.
I voted yes.. but what I mean is it should be a decision made by both people. It's the kind of thing best discussed before getting married so you at least know you have similar goals. Marrying somebody who wants 10 kids when you only want 1 would be a bad idea.
Decide? NO. Be involved in the discussion? YES.
The decision to have children, and when, should be a joint decision by the husband and wife.
Having said that, I was happy after my then-wife and I had 2 sons. I wasn't against another child, but I didn't think it would happen. Then, one night, she seduced me, and 9 months later she got the daughter she wanted.
Of course they should , this is without doubt , you can't just get out spitting out off spring just because you have a Virginia , its called family planning and both need to be completely onboard , and wherever remotely possible , every pregnancy will be planned and discussed by both.
Its certainly NOT just up to the woman to govern reproduction , especially if she expects contribution - WHAT A JOKE , that would be , common sense please.
That should be a joint decision and one that should of been discussed/known prior to marriage or relationship...
It takes two, not only too "create" a family but also to raise/support/provide for a family, so why shouldn't/wouldn't it be a decision made by both?
Nobody except the person whose body it is should ever get to decide what happens to their body.
That means both that only the person getting pregnant should get to decide when or how often they get pregnant AND that only the person producing sperm should get to decide when and what use is made of his sperm.
In other words, if she doesn't want to get pregnant, he has no right to make her. If she does want to get pregnant and he doesn't want her to, he has no right to stop her... but he still has every right to stop her from getting pregnant BY HIM, and to leave her if she chooses to get pregnant by somebody else instead.
Yeahh, I'm gonna have to disagree. It's a mutual decision. We shouldn't have to keep popping out babies because HE said so. And vice versa.
None of us are property. I mean, yo udont HAVE to have a baby. You don't have to have multiple, either. Bu that you need to do is AGREE on it with your partner. Hear them out. COMMUNICATE. A relationship is TWO people. You aren't the only one allowed to make decisions.
Yes and no… I have different opinions about this, mainly if the husband is financially responsible for the wife, then yes he should have a say. His opinion should be respected, but if the wife wants to have another baby and the husband doesn’t, they should sit and talk it out.
Fuck that. I mean, when the wife gets pregnant is her decision completely but if she wants a baby and the man doesn't she doesn't have a right to have a child whenever she wants. They both need to agree.
So yea the husband does decide, but that decision doesn't really mean anything unless the wife agrees and its the same thing the other way around.
Teamwork
Absolutely the heck not. Guys should let them decide when they get pregnant. They're the ones that have to carry the pregnancy and birth the baby and more likely to give up their work, social life and some identity to child-raising. Having kids should be a choice both parents want and both parents are ready for, but the only person who should decide when they get pregnant is the person carrying the pregnancy.
I chose yes but i do agree with you that both should decide, don't forget that a good husband is the one who's going to take care of his wife and unborn baby, provide for them, protect them and always be there for them!
Personally my future wife will be a housewife and even if she tells me that i'm the one who decides everything since i'll be the head of the house, i'll tell her that her opinion matters to me and having a baby will be our decision together and since we will be married god will make us not only a family but a one person too, which means we both will make such decisions and the baby is a gift from god snd the seed of love between a husband and his wife 😊
If that's what you both really, really want then go for it. Personally, I never ever want to get pregnant or give birth, raise kids,. etc and obviously the right partner for me needs to support that. But the final say is definitely always, always the person who has to birth that child.
I'm single but if i'll get married than that's what will happen...
I don't know why you don't want to be a mother or have kids at all and i won't pressure you to tell me why cause that's you're choice and you're free...
I bet to differ that it's only the decision of who's carrying the baby, if that's the case than she can go get pregnant by herself!
This aggressive attitude never works for me, you must be aware that i'm an anti feminist...
So let's just stop here and i thanks for sharing, you have you're own opinion and i have mine! Let's agree to disagree...
Wow I think you had the wrong idea here. All I said was being pregnant isn't for me. We had a nice conversation in another comment and now you've flipped. All I said is I don't want to have kids. As I said it comes down to the couple but if she isn't ready 'yet' to have a kid even if the couple wants to, for example, then she has the right to wait and decide when that is. That's what I am saying. Also why villify women who just want to decide if and when they have kids? There's so many reasons why I don't want to have kids that are as much my right as it is for those who do want kids. No one in life is obligated to have children.
Nope it's 6ou who got me wrong, i respect you're opinion and it's for sure it's you're choice to decide if you want to have kids or not and try to find a man who will accept it...
All i'm saying is that i'm not this type of men, for example if i got married, my future housewife cannot come and tell me i decide when to have kids or not, in this aggressive way! I believe in gender roles and i'm somewhat traditional and it will be up to us both to decide when to have a baby because we are both making the baby, when my future wife gets pregnant than i'm going to be responsible of her health and well being, it's not like i'm going to kick her out and tell her to have an abortion!
When a wife treats her good husband like a king, believe me that she will be always happy, loved and taken care of 😏
Still i respect that you're a modest girl and i will support you're lifestyle when it comes to politeness and being modest cause that's how a woman should be...
So don't worry, there no issues between you and me and it's okay to be different...
They are most likely the ones that are paying the bills so yes, they have a say in it. But it should be a joint decision that is made considering many factors, like financial - can we afford a baby and not have me work? - and their life goals. Maybe they would want one later but not now.
Dating is when you decide these things… after that marriage is when the plans made. If things get that far and plans change it’s up to both parties to decide. I don’t support divorce and I think he’s should be for her and she for him… I see no reason to push kids or withhold kids unless there’s a good reason though…
They both should discuss and agree on how many kids they want early on in the relationship, especially before taking a major step like living together.
I want 3 to 5, so as long as what she wants is within that range I am fine. If she doesn't want some then we aren't compatible. It is that simple.
I'm kind of confused by this question. A man has a right to not want to get her pregnant, if she gets pregnant by another man that would mean she cheated. She shouldn't be allowed to baby trap him. Having kids should be a mutual agreement between the man and woman.
Is she talking about getting pregnant or her deciding if she wants to have the child after finding out she's pregnant?
Because I do kind of have a say if she gets pregnant. If I don't want to have a kid, I'm not going to intentionally get her pregnant. If she got pregnant by another man then i would leave her. If I did get her pregnant then of course it's up to her if she wants to have the baby.
Ok well then maybe I was thinking too much about it because the answer to her question seems obvious. Of course that not how that works. This shouldn't even be a question that has to be asked
Can they be oreos? 😁
Perhaps ask the next question:
Do the world believe that husbands should raise the child and financially take care of the child?
If so, wouldn't it be fair for him to also have a saying about the amount of children he has to take care off? Or should it be forced upon him?
This is something they should both discuss and consider each other’s wishes and make a decision but you can’t force someone into getting pregnant. Some women have a really hard time during pregnancy as well and it being dangerous. Also, if the woman feels she can only take in so many kids that should be respected. You don’t want too many and have some neglected.
I mean in reality men cannot determine if you can get pregnant or not. Some females just can’t get pregnant, but also if your husband is saying he gets the say so leave asap that isn’t a marriage that is a I own you. You are his property in his mind.
In a loving marriage it should be a joint decision that is discussed between them. They must be able to afford to have a baby. A child, from infancy to age 18, costs about $350,000 to raise. That used to be the price of a house. There are other factors to consider - medical insurance, if one won't be able to work anymore which would mess up their standard of living, etc.
@LetsBeHonestHere if she was like you that she better run asap cause that's how i'll act and that's what i'll tell her but in my mind it's never going to be what you have mentioned!
It should be mutually decided upon. I love kids my girlfriend does too but I want her to finish university first and find a good job before having kids with her and she respected my decision. As for how many kids well I like it to take it slow. I don't want to have 3 kids in 2 years lol maybe have one kid and wait 4 years for the next one. Raising kids is expensive and tiring it's not always about if you wanna have kids it's also about if you have the money and time to raise them
It’s something a male is unable to comprehend because he is not a female.
We have to change our entire life so that our body can grow a baby. A guy can go put his sperm in a dish and get his own kid.
A man needs to express his needs early on in a relationship so his female partner knows his expectations of her.
And so should the woman. If neither on shares within as what would be considered enough time then it is their responsibility to ask then. Technically you really dont have to change your entire life. The body will still allow the creation regardless of what you think you need to change. Either way both Man and Woman have that choice to how much it changes, until she take him to court... You unable to comprehend anything that goes in our end, not because your Female, but because you are narrow minded and already gender biased. Its not possible, yet anyways, for either sex to create by themselves...
Mans expectations from his female partner :sex, loyalty, no nagging, contribute, and dont try to change or mold us to the envision youve created...
I don't understand the implied point of your question.
A couple should not have kids unless they both decide they are open to it. If the husband tries to forcible impregnate his wife, such as by sabotaging the birth control, etc, that's horribly wrong. If a woman tries to trick/deceive her man into impregnating her against his will, such as by lying that she's on birth control or sabotaging the condons, etc, that's horribly wrong.
No way. That's a mutual responsibility and therefore a mutual decision as I see it. Both parties should want children in order to create them.
As long as women get to dictate and determine how men spend their money then it makes sense and it's only fair that men should be able to dictate and direct how many times women get pregnant and cost them even more money. Once again, we are treated to a woman asserting that women have the right to determine what to do with money that men work for. Fukk that.
Lol, I think in a marriage, or any other nuclear family/steady relationship (yes yes it's a sin - I know) the two people involved should have an agreement on when they have kids. It just kinda works best that way 😌
It should be a mutual decision but a woman has the final say over her body. On the other hand, a man must have veto power since his is equally responsible for the child, ethically and legally.
~JSmith
I say no my ex slept with me another 2 girls behind my back got one pregnant she had a micarage to his kid nd that was only a one night stand with her so i say no women make the desision he's z scum bag anyway cheating fuck but i think womennit men
Fuck no.
also any of the type that do this should not be parents in the first place.
It should be a joint decision between both the male and female. Although one can be tempted to say both parties have an equal vote, I would say that a woman should have veto power over what grows (or does not) inside of her. It's a fact , in most cases, that women bear a disproportionate share of raising a child... not to mention the 9 month pregnancy part. So, it's only fair to give her veto power on this issue.
Family planning should be between both people in a relationship. Part of the courting process should also include discussions about the future, such as children, long before any sort of marriage. One person dictating how and when there will be children seems abusive to me.
Tf No. Pregnancy traumatize the woman's body. Some women loose all of their hair, teeth etc. If he wants so many kids, he should adopt. The men who said yes, can they reply to me? Are these men ok with their wifes cutting their dicks off or deciding vasectomy?
Men who said yes have no idea how pregnancy harms women
Women can die due to giving birth.
There's been cases in which women have intentionally got themselves pregnant behind their husbands back with full knowledge he doesn't want any or has had enough. I wouldn't tell the woman I'm with that she must get pregnant if she doesn't want to, but demand the woman I've with to respect my boundaries and not have children i don't consent to. If a woman did that to me i'd leave her if i could. If I wasn't in a position to being too invested, than i'd simply hate her for the rest of my life.
This is rape or crime. A woman who lies about taking birthcontrol or babytrap you is committing a crime. In this case you should not pay any child support and she should be arrested, OF COURSE. I will never understand the point of babytrapping. I personally think it is stupid and senseless going through pregnancy for 9 months and a painful birth to force a man to be a dad who will leave you. So this is what men with yes? Thanks for your opinion. It is very helpful!!. I was scared and shocked at first since i thought men who said yes mean 'forcing' their gfs/wife to get kids but i after seeing opinions like you, i understand it.
It might be rape or an equivalent to it, but it's not a crime. A woman can quite publicly admit she tricked a guy saying she was on the pill, or even a few cases of pulling condoms out of the bin and using them to inseminate herself with, without any fear whatsoever she'll be charged with anything, for there is no crime on the books for it, nor any intention from society to deal with it. After you start digging and going down the rabbit hole, you'd be surprised how few legal rights men have that women in the west take for granted.
I can only speak for myself, but I'd imagine at least a high percentage of the men who said yes were thinking the same.
Until the man can carry or push a baby out, he can merely voice his opinion.
His opinion however, is not the answer on whats going to happen.
I think they should have a say in it, and an opinion, as in part of the couple’s discussion. But it should be a joint decision that they both make together. I don’t believe in a man only, getting to make the hard and fast decisions that will so drastically change their lives. That era is looonnnnngg gone.
It should be mutually agreed upon how many children they wanna have, even married couples I’m sure have to use some contraceptive if their done with kids like one of my friends and her husband do.
Birth control should be decided by both, unless both wants more kids they should be used. So yes the husband should be in control over how many pregnancies that should be started.
No you have that discussion weiwei beforehand how many kids do you want it's the woman that carries the baby gets a woman that goes to all the pain all the agony is her choice how many
Yes but only in terms of deciding WITH her how many children they can handle as a family. No in terms of him giving him the ability of making her to go through pregnancy against her will.
Of course no. They both have contribution in giving birth and they both have to decide and come a to a conclusion.
I think that should be a mutual decision between them two.
Yes I believe husbands do get to decide, when a woman gets married she becomes her husbands property, so weather she likes it or not I think he should decide how many kids they should have. It's just my religious way of thinking how marriages should be, as I'm a Christian.
I hope that you would consider her wishes and want when making a decision to have children. The Bible may say that men are the head of the house but the rights that god gives a husband are to excursive his glory and not selfish wants.
I would consider her wishes but I'm not making any promises here, and it's not selfish to use the rights that god gave us for selfish wants, It's just the Christian way of doing things, a man owning a woman after marriage is not selfish in my view, just mainly tradition.
This is nonsense. The couple can plan all they want to get pregnant. But if God's not in it, a child won't form.
This should be a mutual decision on all fronts. If each individual has a concern about timing, you work through it.
Eh. Thats is not how biology works, kiddo. Finish highschool first.
Imagine being like TonyMetal___86, who thinks that people who believe in equal rights are "feminazis" and "stupid," what a sad life to lead.
it always should be a joint, husband and wife decision.
they can, can always bring it under their control and get the snip when they are done spreading the seed.
It should be a joint decision but in the end, the woman's the one who's gonna go through the pregnancy so she gets final say
I think both sides should talk about first like grown adults.
They can obviously give their opinion but they should not be the ones to decide. These type of things should be discussed by both.
It’s called a “married couple”. Both sides should come to a fair agreement on everything.
No of course not, it should be a decision between both.
I suppose I think they should have a say in it since they're going to be raising the kids too. However, I most certainly don't think their opinion should be the only one that matters.
Yes how it should be but modern women have scraped it from the good books.
I mean without my cum you can't get pregnant anyway so if I don't wanna cum in you and get you pregnant, theirs no way your getting pregnant unless you cheat
no they should not have any part in that, it is not his body, and it is not up to him what that woman will do if she does become pregnant. as a couple you can, of course, decide how many kids you may want but the woman is the one holding the child.
If course not. That’s a decision that should be made jointly.
Like everything down to money, it is a joint decision.
