What is your (your own or your family's) way of dealing w guests?

Or how do y'all treat guests? What kinda things take place? Where y'all make em sit? Or what y'all show em? Or what y'all offer em depending on time? Or what type of guests u give more importance to? Do u get ready if u know they are coming? Do u prepare food or buy from outside? Say whatever u can regarding or regardless the questions i asked in description

I'm a terrible hostess. I do try though. If I know they are coming, I go all out with preparing food, drinks, cleaning, etc. If they are unexpected, I try my best anyway. Sadly, we have an obnoxious dog that can't be trusted with guests and there is always a scramble to get him put away. I don't like my guests to feel like they're imposing.

I was raised to be polite and kind to everyone regardless of whether they’re guests or not. I am hospitable to guests and treat them with kindness. There are some guests who are overly critical and nosy, but as a good host, I’m expected to smile and be welcoming… and that’s how it should be, though it gets annoying sometimes lol

typically whenever I have guests over it’s like a party setting. Like watching the Super Bowl. Everyone brings whatever they want to bring. I’ll make some food but I ain’t feeding everyone it’s expensive nowadays. We usually sit and chat having a good time. Wait til the game comes on and just have a good ol time

but we are very welcoming and accommodating, that's the way we do it

Same here... i was raised to be good host n bring/buy almsot everything n do all possible ways to keep a guest happy... and also my religion has a lot value for guests
