Yesterday was suppose to be a peaceful Sunday (I was already stressed from work) and instead it turned into a yelling match between mom and I.
I accidentally placed my purse on the table and oh boy why did I do that. She went on complaining how I'm so stupid, how could I place a purse on the table nonstoppable. Even after I said ''I'm sorry, yes I placed it by accident'', she wouldn't stop. Then she went on saying ''oh the curse, you know very well it's bad luck'' and more insults.
At this very moment I actually blow up and told her this:
To hell with the good luck, bad luck and imaginary things. I never cared for that. I don't believe in anything. I'm not stupid. You are. All you've taught is nothing but toxic. **** religion, **** charms, **** karma, **** everything of your worthless ideas.
She was actually ready to slap me and to my shock, my hand was raised too (as if ready to strike back) and my father (he's an agnostic) had to intervene. At this moment I'm not speaking to my mother. Can someone like that be so overbearing?

Yes she's my mother but damn, sometimes I hate her at the moment. That's how close I came to possibly striking her (it would've been the first time) if she would've slapped me. I think I would've likely slapped her back.

I definitely think so.
She made an insignificant thing into an avalanche. I kept going on and on until I couldn't stand it anymore. That's how she does on every argument, she goes on nonstoppable and a couple times even follow my father towards the exit door, not letting go of his arm. He was the patient of a saint to not do anything. Only once, he had to push her off because he was going to arrive late for work and she wasn't letting him go.
Yeah, that would drive me nuts. My mother was religious, but she wasn't a fanatic.
