Was I right for checking on my brother in law for suicide?

I made sure my brother in law was okay today because we losing so many people to suicide and I struggle with mental illness as well. I did work for the military and he’s still in. I told his friend to send him a text to check on him because mental health is a must. He tells me he’s okay but sometimes you just never know.

You did nothing wrong. I think we should generally check up more on people close to us, because you never know what goes behind closed doors and in someone’s mind. So yeah, I think it’s really good that you checked up on him and that he is happy to have people like you around him.

You were right to do it. We should react if we notice people struggling or showing suicidal signs. It’s better to react and talk about it with them than doing nothing and then regretting it if, God forbid, something happens.

Also, I’m sorry to hear that you are struggling mentally, but hold on, lovely. It will be better 🤗

Nope we going through a situation where I actually struggle with suicidal thoughts myself. With everything going on and he posting about stop suicide of soldiers I got worried because he hide things easily

Im really sorry to hear all that... Nothing is worth suiciding though... Absoliutly nothing can be...
Id suggest maybe if you can have a family gathering with some sort of party... This could help recharge his (and ur) batteries
