My husbands dad is 80 and a schizophrenic he wasn't in his life growing up but now he wants to move him into our house?

I think it's guilt he doesn't want his father to die and regret anything but his mental health and physical health is really bad and we have a four year old that will be turning five in the summer and starting school. I want to self aware and know it's his dad but i've never lived with anyone but my immediate family and the family i created. What if i get stuck taking care of his dad, I just turned 30 I don't know what to do. Please help
