Why did I fart on my dog?

Earlier today we're all in the living room watching TV. I'm laying down on one couch, boyfriend is in the kitchen doing something on her laptop, and Dog is burrowed near my butt. I've probably farted on his head about 100 times at this point in life. Usually he likes it, but sometimes he doesn't. I dunno, I guess it depends on what I had for lunch. I was initially worried it was more than just a fart... but thankfully I was still dry.
