Is a loving mother's love the strongest love or is the father's love equally too?

This is for people raised by both parents. I've heard many times people saying the strongest bonding/love is a mother towards her child. What about the father? I'll give my example.

Meanwhile my mother sometimes still refers to both me and brother as ''her precious babies that can't do no wrong, her treasure, her bundles of joy'' (we're already grown-ups; I'm 35 and my brother is 20), my father sometimes still uses this phrase and he's nearly 70 by now:

''I'll kill for my children. Someone hurts them badly, I'm coming after them like a lion''.

Even at our ages, anyone hurting us badly would be a direct attack towards him. He once described that as if someone were to stab him in the heart.

What do you think? Is a mother's bonding/love for her child/children generally the strongest? What about the father?
