Am I being unreasonable?

My husband is working really hard to get a buisness going. So sadly he is not bringing amy money in currently. I have an ok job. So am able to keep us a float.
Occassionally he asks his mom to borrow money. He needed 300 to get a liecence re issued. She paid for it. I thanked her and said i will give u bacl some
I just gave her 160. She started going off about i said id pay her back and her intrest on card is high and she has given me rides now she wants gas money too... blah blah
. so i said "seriously... i just gave u 160. Ur gonna have to wait. We need food and a house with elsectricity too
. she's ghosting me now and is trying to start a fight between me and her son. She is so selfish and narsasstic. Was it something i did or is she ungratefull?
Just shocked at how self involved she is.

I had a friend that was like that. I was dirt poor and she GAVE ME nearly $800 to help me pay the bills. Repeatedly told me I didn't have to pay her back, it's a gift. I still intended to pay her back once I got back on my feet!

A few months later, she changes her mind and tells me she WANTS the money back!! At this point, I'm living on whatever loose change I can dig up at the drive-thru windows at the mall every night!! Some nights, it's not even 50 cents, some nights it's a couple bucks. I'm helping my aunt clean our her dead sister's house so she can sell it. She tried to sell the furniture (it was really nice, well-kept stuff!!) but, nobody would buy it even for 1/8 of what it originally cost! My friend was saying that she'd like to get some new furniture so, I told my aunt and she told my friend that she will GIVE HER the furniture in exchange for the money I supposedly owed her. She agreed! She came and got the stuff and everything was hunky dory... for about 4 months!! Then, she STILL wanted he money that she gave me!! After another few weeks, she got pissed at me for not giving her the money back, left me a REALLY nasty message on my answering machine and, at that point, I'd had it with fake friends and just completely cut her out of my life!! I spent most of the previous 39 years being her best friend and putting up with NIGHTMARE scenarios that would've driven anyone else insane and she's gonna call ME those kinds of name and say that kind of shit about me? I DON'T FUCKING THINK SO!!! I stopped being her friend from that point onward!! A week later, she left another message apologizing for what she said, etc.. Sorry!! It's too late!! I've had it!!

Well, whatever it costs, mine sold for over $200,000. The one I'm in now is about $35,000 but it's a lot smaller. They'd also need money for the taxes and other expenses and, if I can make triple that in a few weeks time, I'll never miss that money I just gave away. Better to use it to help others with than to just hoard it all for myself.
About 3 years ago, I was in line at the grocery store and the woman in front of me thought she didn't have the money to pay for all of her stuff. I was just about to tell her that I'd give her the money until I realized I didn't have any money, myself! I was living off of any loose change I could find at the drive through windows at the mall, every night!!
Things still aren't much better and I still stand a chance of losing this house, too! And, BECOMING homeless!!
People that don't want to work get all the jobs! Those like me, that want to work, can't FIND one!!

I totally understand that but why should you be the one who takes the heat from his mother. Believe me, I know what you're going through. I started a business but I was the only one working in my house because my wife isn't physically able to work. Her parents loaned us money but I was the one that always handed it to them. I give you both a lot of credit for being a team. There aren't many couples like that anymore.
