I always feel like crap after I hang out with family and friends who are much better off (they aren’t condescending). Is it justified to avoid them?

A lot of family and friends have things going for them that I deep down really want (strong marriage, starting a family, etc.). Years ago they used to make side comments that really pissed me off about being single. They don’t say that crap anymore but I always feel depressed after interacting with them.

I’m also secretly dealing with a financial crisis right now. I took a risky gamble that went far in the wrong direction leaving me deep in debt. I know I’ll eventually pay it off. But that’s another thing I’m struggling with right now. Makes me not want to talk to anyone.
