I’m 30 years old, independent, make over 100k a year, and my parents still control my life?

I am 30 years old, independent, make over 100k a year, good job, and my parents insist on controlling me. I know it’s easy for everyone to say “just leave them” but it’s not. I was manipulated at a very young age to feel guilt about leaving them and if something happened to them it would be my fault. I even bought a house and moved them in to it. They don’t work, sit on their ass all day and control my life. They sabotage all friendships and relationships I have. They just won’t stop. I always say “they are my parents, old, let me just make them happy” but they take advantage. I’m not sure what to do, and stop feeling like their well being is on my conscious. Any opinions would help. Thank you.

They sound like shitty ass parents. I know it's tough but you really gotta leave their asses. It sounds like they're controlling you and keeping you around for financial stability when all they do is sit on their ass. Don't allow yourself to be controlled; you know the situation, you know what's best for you. Move out

It’s been really difficulty dude. My dad is in his mid 70s and he is mainly the issue. I keep thinking that my life would straighten out when he dies. I know it’s a shitty thing to think but he’s made my life hell for many years.

No I completely understand why you think that. Things will get better man. I do see why him being 70 is an issue, but if you're making that much money why not put him in a nursing home? Gotta put your foot down at some point you know
