Me and my dad don't really have a good relationship. He doesn't check on me and his granddaughter... I only check on him. The only time he calls me if it's about money or signing up for his business. And if I decline he gets mad and won't talk to me. When he use to come home from work... we all had to speak to him first or he would not speak to anyone at all. He still like that.

My girlfriend's dad emotionally abused her and her sister, is now is prison for killing a 16 year old girl and writes her every now and again to ask her for money.
Her sister wants nothing to do with him, but she still keeps in touch with him because he's her dad and she loves him.
One has resentment and hatred in her heart and the other has learn to let go and forgive. My girl is also the only one who got a sincere apology from him and mended the relationship

My girlfriend keeps in touch with him, not her sister. I didn't write that out too good
