Am I a bad friend?

Question

There was this guy that my friend introduced me to. We started texting and he seem to like we went out on a date.

Well a little be be for the my friend told me that the guy expressed that he liked her before us talking. Now fast forward my friend thinks the guy is shady and I really shouldn’t be talking to him.

The guy did express to me when I brought it up that they are no longer talking and cut it before talking to me.

I told him that I didn’t wanna jeopardize my relationship with her so I ended things. But I feel bad because she introduced me to him in the first place feeling to be manipulated

am I wrong that I went on the one date with him

Hmm.. I don't think she would have liked you dating him BEFORE he stopped talking to her so it's strange that you even started in the first place, i mean if she made it clear she was interested in the guy then. If she did not make it clear that she was interested then it is 100% on her and you don't owe her ANYTHING & you can date the guy if you want to.

Otherwise imagine if you dated a guy she knew for 5 months & she never said one word and then one day she says, "hey he doesn't talk to me anymore and he liked me first". Would you dump him then too? It's silly.

So it depends on how this all started.

Nope you're not a bad friend. I disagree with you ending the relationship with him. You should talk to her and tell her that you're the one that introduced us, so far I don't see him being shady at all.

She told you he liked her after or before she introduced you guys? Did she say she liked him or no?

This is all odd. Why did she ever introduce you if she thought he was shady and I’d he she liked him why not he clear. She is playing games, or am I missing something?

Are you crazy? She's totally jealous you guys said it off and is trying to keep you from getting in a relationship with him. It's totally not your fault, and I'd say cut her out of your life.

You didn't do anything wrong. And I think your friend is the one who is shady. She probably got jealous and regretted passing him off to you.

Not sure how this is your fault. If she introduced you to someone she knew was bad in her mind she’s being a bad friend to you. Most friends wouldn’t hand their problems out to other women they care about to experience the same issues.
