What's a good way to tell someone to stop bringing their sick kids around?

My mom in law and sister in law keep bringing their sick kids around without telling me when we get together. It's very frustrating because I'm immunocompromised and pregnant. Honestly just furious that they continue to do this. My husband has hinted nicely to them, but they don't seem to get it. What's a direct way, but 10 times less angry way than I actually feel, that I can tell them their behavior is extremely rude? I'm so tired of getting sick from them. Especially now that I'm pregnant

Your husband has hinted it nicely. Have you two have a full conversation about it? I mean you need to set boundaries specially now if you are pregnant because kids get sick way too often. You need to take care of yourself. You will need to sit her down and let her know in a way where look it's nothing personal and I love and enjoy when the kids come over but I am pregnant and I can't be getting sick anymore something like that

That's a good way to word it. I'm going to save this so I can have a sit down with them. My husband and I have talked about it, but his mom is very strong willed and confident. It will take some very direct, but kind language to get through to her.

Exactly! There's a way to bring it up plus you have your husband to back you up. So talk to him first about how you will approach the situation. You can either bring it up to her without the kids so the kids don't have to listen to it. You can also have it where you message or call her or have your husband reach out that you want to have a talk with her so that she is prepared that it's something serious. Don't let the kids in on the adult conversation. Also hug it out! I hope it all works for you
