Mom doesn't let me walk home from bus stop?

I'm in grade 11 and I started taking the bus back from school and the stop is like a 4 minute walk from where I live. My mom parked near the bus stop to drive me home... the whole reason I started using the bus was because she didn't want to pick me up from school.

So she did this for a few days and then I told her I'll just walk home. I live in apartment so there are like 4 other people who also go the same way. But when I reached there, she was waiting outside the building. It felt so awkward because I was the only one getting picked up by their parent -_-. I really don't get why she's being so weird about this because she wanted to have less to do, and I live in a safe neighborhood too. It just feels like I don't even have enough freedom to walk home from the bus, I don't know what to do.

If you knew how many girls your age were kidnapped within a block from their own house and never seen again, you would understand.


Being supervised by your mother is much better than being chained to a bed by a group of men who will never let you leave.

She's only acting in your interest, she wants to make sure you're safe. It's what a good parent does, they protect their children.

That’s nothing I walked home from school at the age of 13 a long ways a 30 minute walk and I did it for years
