Does struggling as a parent necessarily make you a bad parent? Do material things make you a good parent?

By material things I mean making sure they’re clothed, fed, have a roof over their head etc Do those things mean you’re. A good parent that never wants to see their child want or need for anything? or are those things more of an obligation considering the child never asked to be here?

You are a human being and are therefore going to make mistakes the best you can hope for is to do what you can do, for some people that will be more than others but if you are looking for a line in the sand which seperates 'good' parents from 'bad' parents you will have to define that for yourself because there will never be a consensus.

There are some legal requirements in some countries which you could perhaps consider to be a baseline.
