Why do white parents ban their kids and teens from consuming energy drinks?

My family is white as fxck and I've seen plenty of black, Hispanic, even Asian parents buying energy drinks for their kids. Brown and Asian kids drink those in front of their happy parents. I've only seen white parents and Republican and conservative non-white parents get upset.

I would wonder more why aren't all parents banning their kids from drinking energy drinks. That stuff isn't healthy even for adults, not to mention kids.
A single energy drink usually contain more cofeine than is the recommended daily dosage for adults.

Definitely not a skin color thing.

I wasn't allowed to have energy drinks, high caffeine, or high fructose corn syrup as a kid. My white friends had energy drinks, coffee, soda, mc donalds, lunchables, popsicles, and little Debbie snacks all the time.

my boyfriend drinks them often and he's white. to be fair he's an adult but i believe he's been at it for a long time (even before moving out). i actually had no idea how bad that thing is until now.
