My mom doesn't let me get out of my home what should I do I am a 18 years old boy?

Once my friends told me to do meet-up we haven't seen each other since 3 years so I told my mom to take permission and she denied to go. She denies everytime to go out of home somewhere

She doesn't let me go anywhere and I want to go and explore the things. Please help me to get out of this situation 🙏

I am aware that you are from India and that your traditions are somewhat different from those of the Western world.

Your mother has probably only the best intentions for you but you are 18 now and it is either time to get a job or to continue with your education. I would assume that you are not from a tier 1 city but rather from the suburbs or a smaller place where traditions seem to be tougher to try to break than in a big city.

You need to have a serious conversation with your mother (or your parents) and explain that at your age, you would like to take your future in your own hands. Perhaps that your mother does not want you to go out of the house past a certain hour because of safety issues. You should bear in mind that your mother has only your best interests in mind in terms of your own safety.

If you cannot leave past a certain time in the evening, what about having your friends come over instead?

If you are 18+ I know it’s hard to do you need money and a job and be strong! But if you can find a way to get out of the house would be ideal. Apply to university if you want to study at university and stay on a dorm. If not then find any job to make some little money and then focus on what career you won’t to do etc
I mean I know it’s hard I’m 30 and still trying to figure out life so you are a baby to me.
I am saying all this because your mom reminds my mom I left home at 23 it was hell.
You can wait and see if she will change but if this continues and you are a 19 years old then sadly it’s time to leave home

You still live under her roof, you live by her rules. Get a job and your own place and then you can do what you want. At the same time... try to understand why she's saying no more than your desire to get into something.

Tell your mother that you are 18 years old and as an adult, you should have access to your life and should be able to go on and find yourself at that age. You should also prepare to find a way to make enough money to move out because your mom sounds toxic
