Why my mom won’t let me do things?

I’m 17 years old I have crop tops and I’m old enough to wear them. But every time my mom sees me wear it in public she’s always spazzing out. I’m tired of hanging with my parents 24/7. She won’t let me get a job and she won’t even let me drive by myself. I’ve been wanting a belly piercing ever since I was “young.” She promised me it ever since I was 5. Now all of a sudden she’s thinking about it. All of my cousins and friends have cool piercings and I’m left out. She’s acts like I’m 13. I hate her.

Your mom is just trying to protect you which is what she's supposed to do. Be glad that she cares enough about you to worry about you. I know at 17 you don't see it but you will and be thankful for her. Don't hate her for that. I wish my mother would have protected me but she didn't and yes I do hate her. Your mom is doing what she believes is best for you.

U wanted it even when u r 5yo? Its so young to be sexy.. well for me the reason someone have belly piercing is to be sexy n hot tho..

Also yes getting belly piercing is harmful, there's a chance to get infection like tetanus or hepatitis, cuz of piercing needle is not sterile, the bacteria easy to hole up inside it
