Was my dead father hard on me because I had autism or did he not want me as a son?

i have autism i feel like my father treated me hard some times for it maybe i was not son he wanted

maybe he did not want a stupid son

like one time we were installing radiator in his jeep i was tighter one of the bolts too much i did not think to stop once it was tight the bot snapped off.

he got upset & was like what did hell did you do he may have called me stupid or something i rememeber the whole part.

later he apologized & made a joke & said something like want to hear my son tighter a bolt snap.

Some people just can't handle kids with disabilities. Others may think their child will never aspire to be the person they hoped their kids would be. Not much you can do about that, but it would do you well to just forgive them (even if they have died). Holding a grudge will only hurt you, not them.

Your father probably had a lot of stress and takes his frustration on people that have nothing to do with it and when you busted the bolt he snapped cause it was more problems, if he didn't care about you he wouldn't have apologized and tried to make you feel better, that shows he cares about your emotions >happiness >love

I'm sure you can agree if he didn't care about you he wouldn't care about how you feel but his apology and joke was a form of guilt and self torture for that choice, let's also mention it's not the healthiest way to take out your frustrations but not everyone releases it the proper way, I'm sure everyone has snapped at some point, this could be the results of balling up emotions.

First of all you're not stupid. Don't ever think you are stupid. Your father was probably just frustrated but he should've never yelled at you or called you stupid.
