Am I being ungrateful?

I recently got my final results back from my nursing degree that I have now completed. I haven’t even attended my graduation ceremony or received my official degree yet. I’ve lived at home whilst I’ve studied.
My mother and I got in an argument because she said she was disappointed I had not thanked her for all her help and moral support yet. She said me and my sister were too spoiled and are ungrateful and my whole generation is ungrateful. She said other parents have children who thank them and appreciate everything they do.

I told her that this was something I planned on saying to her at my graduation ceremony once I officially graduate - where it’s a time to celebrate and say thank you.

I was very offended when she made those comments to me.. I have spent 3 years studying, writing assignments, taking exams and doing 840 hours of unpaid clinical work at hospitals. I am appreciative of my mother’s help and moral support. But I felt angry that she was trying to discredit all the hard work I have done for the past 3 years.

Listen I’m a nurse too, and there was a lot of people in my life who wanted appreciation for me succeeding including my father. He wanted me basically to owe him for his help. Which I felt was bs bc I’m the one who put in the work, I’m the one pulling 16 hour shifts and I’m the one who got my promotion to nurse supervisor.

What has your mother done for the past tree years to help support you through this endeavor? Wy is saying "thank you" something that you would only do once? You could have been saying it at least once a week for the past three years. . . but you didn't.
