if imma be honest my mom punched me in my face when i was younger so i say no to this all the way all the kid really deserves is a sit down pep talk that's what i think no need for yelling or violent activities.

That’s way too harsh. A light slap on the butt or better yet verbally correcting them is much better. That’s what my mom did to me.
